@DiewithoutRegreat dont buy memphis products off ebay its not authorized dealership especially if you go with prs cus they can blow easy if you overpower them. best bet in a car like that is a memphis c3 on a street reference 500.1, and replace all the speakers with mclass components run off a pr50.4. thatl give you awesome quality.

I like good quality products and while maybe the distortion and rattling sound filled memphis subs are louder, they are not much louder and sound WAY worse than a proper Subwoofer driver. I was almost joking when i said that 2 JL 6" subs sound better, but the quality is WAYYYYY better than these walmarts subwoofers ;) im 100% sure that dual JL 8w7 8" subs DESTROY these peice of shit subs anyday ;D

@neonzion7 i could take these subs and put them into a low budget, quality sounding system with rich accurate bass. matter of fact ive done that because ive sold countless sets of them. ive also ran these subs on 1000w for someone looking for a low budget just-below spl system, and again they sound good and hit notes accurately. memphis makes products similar in quality to jl, but for fractions of the price. so try again guy cus you havent convinced me yet.

JL makes quality products and only someone who has never heard them would say that. The JL 8w7 would destroy this 15". But yes, like a regular person (you) who doesnt know much, they think that the bigger the better. The magnet on this isnt even large. The magnet is a HUGE factor. Some cheap brands even add metal to make the magnet look large. fail

@neonzion7 i worked at an audio shop installing for 2 years, and i know exactly how big the magnet is on these subs and your comment makes no sense because ive never ran any sub bigger than a 12 in any of my setups. its not about the sub at all, i could easily take a dual from wal mart and make it sound good. its about box design and tuning and setting amps properly producing a natural sound. you can run your jls all day but that means shit to me if theyre distorting and not tuned right.

@stratmemph1 I agree with the boxes, but you can make the best box ever, if the cheap sub distorts, there is no point. Cheap subs with small magnets OR cheap spiders, plastic/crappy parts will not sound good....

@neonzion7 yeah some subs will always just sound awful but it has nothing to do with magnets. memphis street edge(now street reference) have tiny magnets but are one of the best sounding woofers ive ever heard and they are cheap woofers.cost and quality of the sub doesnt matter if its distorting its going to sound like ass regardless. you wont ever catch me running subs over peak no matter what sub it is. guy here has a good setup it just sounds shitty cus he doesnt know anything about tuning.

I went out and bought earlier today a memphis prd1000 amp and it sound cheap a little. i gotta sell it now. i prolly let it go fo 2 and a quarter. I should have waited. It dont give me that surround sound quility bass. the lows need i guess to be tone up or down right. im getting alot of load boom. i think its hitting to hard to enjoy the music. he adjusted the amp while the radio was off and the bass level was turned down all the way so when you add more bass at the radio it sound crappy

i got a p3 12 dual 4 ohm sub bein pushed by a rockford fosgate 300by 1 2 ohm amp.. the box is up to specs and my highs are 2 infinity 6 by 9 and 2 6 by 6 in my doors on my 2007 toyota tacoma extended cab... highs are fukin great but sub is not up to par... any suggestions? i paid a shit load of money for this system and it should be slammin but somethings not right.. please help.

wire your sub down to 2ohms. no less. more resistance means sortof like smaller room for the signal to go thru to the sub. if you have less resistance more can flow into it.
