  • improve your feeling...

  • There's something funny about your mouth. The close-up fingering is worth adding to my favorite. :)

  • Great job bud. Your tone is great.

All though I'd maybe play it more legato and use more bow (remember, it's not Mozart), your vibrato and bow control sound fantastic.

  • I do not like his phrasing, and staccatoing.

His violin is not good (raw green tone, not sensitive), either.

  • sentita suonare molto meglioooo

  • pritty music

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!1

  • He do have a life, at least he offer a video, yes choise of fingerings and bow speed were not logic, but by moments sounds like a great

keep the good work. I dont see the point of negative comments, ecks put your own version and we will see...

  • you try playing a masterpiece. leave to poor guy alone

  • What a wonderful piece and great interpretation, you have fantastic vibrato...

If you could say just what three things caused you to to advance in playing what would you say? What has helped you the most over the years??

  • el la lo tienes un poco bajo la cuerda al aire...

  • Me again!

Just as beautiful as the first time I heard it!

    Happy 2009, violinissimo!

    Barry

  • O violinista não tem boa tecnica

  • beautiful :D

  • Lovely interpretation of the Meditation. I love the vibrato spin that you add. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the post.

  • Wow, you have talent! Keep up the good work. Beautiful vibrato, nice shifting, but this would be so much better if you had smoother bowing!! 4 stars!

  • 0_o

  • my marching band is doing our show based off this song

  • nice violin! it has a very good sound!

  • amazing! very well in tune! really good vibrato! keep up the good work! =D

  • I Love Thais. I saw it w/Sills,Milnes I Loved it. This is one of my favorite parts

I also realize how hard it is to sing or play music. So, I admire and respect all that are in the business. If I was not so darn old I would try to get a scholarship to be a singer or conductor. But, alas I am 47 and over the hill Noone will give me a break

  • Music is an artists self-expression.

  • To all the haters and complainers, let's see you do better. If you can't then shut that hole in your face AKA your MOUTH!

  • I think Americans should be banned from listening to music videos because they are arrogant and post stupid, insensitive comments and add no value to anything.

This is not an easy piece to accomplish, and he's doing a nice job on it. And if you don't like it, nobody wants to hear/read about it. Now go ahead and show your ignorance by calling me names and cursing and just make my point.

  • please don't generalize

  • I agree, please don't generalize. I have played this piece; VERY difficult to pull off in tune. I commend him for his unique interpretation. I know how hard it is to do it. Also, please please please don't stereotype Americans. There may be a lot of stupid Americans, but there are stupid people everywhere. No matter where you turn.

  • I know this is not an easy piece. It's one of my violin favorites.

  • your A is out

  • Well done, you are correct!

  • wow i feel so smart

    yay for being young ^_^

  • Dude, tighten up that flabby vibrato ^o^

  • John1inch, tighten up those flabby lips.

  • Just thanks Violinissimo..

A quiet moment for me to sit and meditate.

    John

  • Bravo!

  • beautiful

  • Legato appassionato!! Wish I could play so well.

Sorry to your inflated critics, but this is my favourite Meditation on you tube by far.

  • On that note, I personally do not prefer this style of playing for this particular piece, but it still takes skill, musicality and discipline, so I am going to give Violinissimo credit for that. You have obviously worked hard on this piece, and congratulations for performing it with such musicality and beauty. You have a very unique style and I appreciate that.

  • There is not one defined, correct way to play this piece, it is all a matter of interpretation. In my video I play it much differently, and that is okay because I interpret the piece differently than most of you.

  • First, a few words to all the people who say "you suck, you can't play this piece" and various criticisms. Now, I love this piece and have played it myself several times, and it's clear that you have a very unique style of playing - very light, loose, and unconnected. THIS IS NOT ALWAYS A BAD THING. Every musician has their own style and that is fine - in fact it is the whole point in playing music!

  • I've downloaded the sheet music, and may try to have a go myself....Where might I find the orchestral backing, please?

    Thanks,

    Barry

  • Go to classicalmidiconnection dot com website, click massenet or Romantic. Listen forward to your playing and thks for your encouraging words. I am just another day-job-ber.

  • Many thanks, Violinissimo.

  • Please share it with ur sheet music. Can I have one? thank you

  • I really like the playing. Try not to let discouragement bring you down. You're playing confidently and beautifully

  • Liked it before, and have now favourited it.

  • ITS SO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's kinda...not great. I agree with orjus and yvesgilen

  • don't people ever listen to themselves ????????

lunging from phrase to phrase is not music making

  • to much noises.. =/ and.. it's not the style of the piece. but.. it's ok..

  • oops..i know already!

  • May i know what is the name of this piece please?

  • Its meditation from massenet

  • very nice :D but try to dont stop the bow between 2 notes, this piece must be played with full bow every note ;) but nice performance ;)

  • Beautiful! (You move your hands like a cellist *laugh*)

  • Very nice, different but what an outstanding interpretation....

  • Thanks for your comment, "different but what an outstanding interpretation". Pls take a look at my Mendelssohn 1st mvt., just as different.
