in a little town called prince albert there was a place called the marlboro. every six months or so one would do a hit of blotter or maybe microdot and one would start the evenings festivities at the marlboro. and so it began, one would walk up to the juke box and look for something ubusual or unheard of instead he found this tune and blew the room away. every six months or so........
@cshaiku you got that right !! Glad to se people still listening to my generation of MUSIC..I don't know what to think of todays music.. I start at 1962 and stopped around the 1980's as far as enjoyment and waiting for the next sound to come out.
In fact Alan Parsons was the one who recommended Clare Torry to sing Pink Floyd's legendary wordless song "The Great Gig in the Sky"(from the Dark Side of the Moon Album) for which she was paid only 30 pounds.
And the song Games People Play comes from a best-seller of popular psychology book called that way, about the relationships of small groups (friends, relations, work); it influenced many APP songs.
Thanx for your research about the "Pshychobabble" word. The wife of songwriter Eric Woolfson is a psychologist and that influenced much of Eric's material.
Together with "PRIME TIME" my mostly adorable song from Alan Parsons project. Can´t stop listening to it... so great. :)

Can anyone remember the band that re-did this song in the mid 80's. I used to have the cassette but lost it years ago.

This has been my favorite song since I was 13!
Used to listen to it full blast on my sister's dad's oak record player... the crackling noise just added to the intensity!
