I am a successful scientific/medical writer who bought a brand new home 2 years ago, and has a good job. BUT 10 years ago, I was homeless with 2 kids. My kids and I ate at the Matt Talbot Kitchen more times than I could count, and if it weren't for that service, I don't even know what direction my life would have gone. People who are desperate to eat do desperate things, sometimes even dangerous. Thanks to MTK and the Peoples Citry Mission, I didn't have to make those choices.
