As to the "why asian?" comments- Some asian cultures value discipline more, particularly in the higher socio-economic strata. Plus high peer pressure for success. Has more to do with motivation and hard work than anything else. Good for them so long as it is kept from becoming an outrageous obsession. The rest of us would do well to remember their example, frankly.

@kickingdirtywords - Yeah, kind of frustrating, but one should accept fate. Keep in mind that the chance that this girl was exposed to the piano at a very early age, is very high. She's probably playing it every day, too.

I'm currently 19 and working on playing the piano perfectly. Takes time, but better late than never! The only real problem I have is usage and switching between pinky and ring finger.

Very good execution of Fur Elise for her age. She controls her dynamics so well therefore a good ear as well. I played this for one recital in my childhood and still play it. She has a promising future as a pianist. And it appears she loves what she's doing even at that age. I think she's also doing the pedals quite well too. Impressive. Blessings to her and her parents. I'm so glad that she's getting a chance to learn the pianoforte.
