  • Hi, my 1tb back up drive for time machine is getting full, what happens when it full up? Does time machine alert me and I have to buy another one or what should I do? Sorry, new to macs! Thx

  • i hate it when i lose my letter to bob...

  • This is one of the best explanations of how to find a file in Time Machine. Thanks. Would you make a video of how to do a complete restore. You explain things so well.

  • how do you restore, bookmarks, fonts, ical, contacts etc and whatever else users would commonly miss.

  • I second 510musicmaker question. This is good, but will it work with a FULL backup?

  • @Namord Yes it is. To restore every single thing the computer needs to be reformatted to brand-spankin' new. Using the installation disks to start up your machine (put it in your computer and hold down 'C' on your keyboard as you start up) you have the option to Restore from a Time Machine Backup under the "Utilities" menu bar option

  • @interlacedinc Can you select certain folders from your external hard drive if you are doing a clean install and restoring time machine, or will it automatically just put EVERYTHING back?

  • @burgandyblood the automatic restore feature I posted for Namord restores everything. To restore individual files you have to manually open the backup drive in Finder, navigate to the folder for your newest backup, and drag files back to your clean HD.

  • hey. nice video. i got my mac reimaged and i have a backup. everything is gone now. is it possible to restore every single thing from my backup to my mac again? thx bro
