i am gonna get soo bashed for this but it is virtually impossible to turbo a 2stroke as the exhaust and intake ports are open at the same time, so what ever pressure you are putting into the engine is just getting pushed right out the exhaust..its also pushing out your oil that gets injected, so really by putting turbo onto a 2stroke is just ruining it.. just my .02 cents...let the bashing and telling me how stupid i am begin

The only retort I have is that at any power level above stock, id just run premix to remedy the oil injection issue. But as for the turboing of 2t's....how do people make more power if what you said is true? Cause ur basically just blowing more fuel mixture out the exhaust due to the nature of the 2t engine.

Its still running strong and at my elevation it has about 220 horse. read up on how there doing it and you will see that its pretty fool proof.

you can't turbo charge a two stroke!!!! but you can supercharge it!

It is not possible to turbocharge them as this is because of the way the engine breaths and how it requires back pressure from the exhaust to breath.

However you can supercharge a two stroke using a pressurising system between the carb and the inlet manifold.

@Pr0x450 not the exact same time. just opend for returning sound waves from the exhaust to presurize the combustion chamber more. aka scavenging. its just ike a 4 stroke. if you have high rpm oon a 4 stroke you get whats called valve overlapping but you can still turbo a 4 stroke

@mugenseikiprospec you would think its impossible but how does this work a 100% stock banshee making about 30-35hp gets a 2into1 pipe for turbo and better port timeing to suit the turbo charging runs 32lbs of boost and makes 160hp? now most turbo 2stroke snomo only run 8-16lbs so hp gains are alot lower then twhat the banshee seen but still thats alot of hp to pump out of a 350 2stroke and also adding a pipe and porting to a banshee only gain 15-20hp max

They are going to make te sleds produce the max amount of performance that they can. Skidoos blow up anyway so I was asking how it is running a sled with a turbo that Is already on the verge of blowing up then adding more power. 2 strokes are time bombs waiting to go off.

Yes the 800cc twin in this sled is carbed. But so are the original RS Vector, Nyrto and RX-1 models from Yamaha and they have been running turbos since 2003. I'm guessing it's all in the jetting just like and other carbed MOD sled.

Rev is the chassis used by ski-doo from 03-07.Most models including the Summit X were in the Rev chassis. I hate when people call the new ones the"Rev-XP 800R" Thats the chassis and the engine, not the model, the model is MX-Z X 800 etc... Thats like callin an Apex the "Delta Box II 1000 Genesis".
