there appeared to be a policeman on the bus at 10:07, was he going to check that the passengers have a permit or did he find that someone was not carrying a permit?
The police do a compulsory permit check on all residents and visitors travelling in public and private vehicles going into and leaving the frontier area.
Illegal immigrants and smuggling are issues they take very seriously.
I notice that you passed through places like Ta Kwu Ling, Sandy Ridge and Man Kam To. You really had a close encounter at the Man Kam To checkpoint at the end.
This is one of the few green minibuses that go into the Frontier Zone that doesn't involve Lok Ma Chau, the others being the 55K to Sha Tau Kok and the 618 to Shenzhen Bay Crossing.
A rare and a pretty good video from a minibus (or bus) standpoint.
Thanks for your feedback. The unvarnished beauty and tranquility of the area is something to behold, a sharp contrast to the hustle & bustle of Hong Kong. Let's hope the govnt here can develope this place in a meaningful manner when it eventually opens up.
