But basically the best place to make a town is at Springvale because you can restore the houses and just write coc springvale in the console no matter what you are doing. It has plenty of space and you can even catch the caravans once in a while on their way to Megaton. I mean, what else do you want? Oh and plenty of action since there's assloads of raiders at the school near the main town xD

@SuperTeHn Im not playing the current version of RTS, But it did take quite a while to make. All i can recommend is that you head over to the RTS website and find a guide.

@3hundredspartan Im actually using tfc and tm. Toggle free camera and toggle menus. Which will disable both until you type it in again. Great for movies and maybe screenshots if you're really into that.

Heh, I'm rather protective of the Big Towners, so when I fast travelled there in one of my earliest files and found them being killed by a Deathclaw I decided that I would make them as safe as possible.

In every file since I've given them robot protectors (science option for their quest) and then reverse pickpocketing top condition Chinese Assaulth Rifles and full combat armor onto them (though Dusty has Power Armor and Flash has a Minigun). I even managed to get Sticky there safely!

@Itachi1024 Take a example from the other NPCs and salvage a location. For example, I built a entire town with the anchorage memorial. Using the parking lot as a working slumish area, and using the memorial as a place for my own tent and a few other buildings. The only main issue was the supermutants and mirelurks. But i just put up a few turrets to spawn kill them lol.

Are you able to have upgraded buildings and such. Like a tin wall that you can shoot through, but the sand packs catch bullets.

@PSGamerReview Im sure you can build stuff like that in the newer version. But i still prefer the old version since the newer one comes with a few annoying features you cant disable.

@bollenjr Turrets, land mines, and if all else fails, tell fawkes to wait at the front door to your town, And nothing hostile will get within 100 yards. As for the patches, I just used the citizen cap increase, and range increase. Oh, And dont forget the 20 tons of sandbags, Gotta have more sandbags.

@bollenjr What the cap boost does is lets more people in your town, And the range boost is a little glitchy so you might just have to open the placement options and set the item to be far away from you.

You can choose to defend it from raider attacks. One of the updates let you choose to turn them off.

I actually took up your idea. But republic of dave is so close to the borders it's a little hard to come up with ideas. Might make a grayditch one though.

You could simply add building to it away from the border then put these like check point for the entrance and have little roads and stuff basically making it into a little city. P.S. dont forget to put a little armory in there
