84-86 Turbo Z's ... fine cars (but then they were Mopars), but underpowered and not serious performers until 87. before then, the Omni GLH Turbo was the way to go with out of the box factory performance. power to weight ratio is what it's all about.

LAWSUIT????????He has done t.v commercials with the 86 and later dodge shelby models but mainly FORD. He put his name on the car with minor mods and thats all that matters! It's a wonderful feeling owning a car with his mark on it!.. good luck with your fastback....and what the hell are you doing watching a daytona video anyway ? LOL!!!
That was my plan on my restoration but I've decided to keep the original color but change the lower grey area to gun metal grey. My car in the video is the gun metal blue and light grey with the pumpers, currently being restored. The Wraith?....awesome movie....got it on DVD. cheers keep the D-T-Z alive!!!!
If you've ever seen that movie The Wraith, I want to restore a Daytona to look like the one off that movie. I always loved the Daytonas made between 84 and 86
the schnoz reminds me too much of the '85-86 mustang GTs...

I wish Chrysler would bring the Daytona back. There were plans for a all wheel drive version tuned by Lotus but nothing ever came of it.

I have an 84 TurboZ, black. Daytonas are great cars. I've had several starting with a new Daytona turbo back in 84. Great video!

My '86 is sporting a new 2.5 engine and pushing 20 PSI. *thumbs up* These cars are damn fast. Mine is faster than the Shelby Daytona.
