Mike, Thanks again for the video. It's a great idea but all of my power cords are 3 prong. I would love to do this for my uplighting, but I'm a bit hesitant when it comes to messing around with electricity.
Hey Mike Great video , I just have a lil dilema , my par cans have 3 prongs = ( should I just yank out the groung prong or just connect them like that and leave the prong outside ? you think that would be an issue ???
Added that link to my favs, Thanks Mike for sharing that one. I had just assumed most everything was 3-prong but I guess not with led lights some might not. If you could please let us know which ones you have come across that are 2 conductor please list them, Thans again.
@directsound woul a AU UK EU to US Travel AC Power Adapter Converter Plug these things have a space on the top to fit 3 prong as input and the out put too 2 pongs just a thought how did you tie off the end of the zip cord???
Awesome vid and great suggestion! Looks really easy to do and inexpensive. Typically extensions with multiple outlets can be rather expensive so this is definately a good alternative.
awesome video man... but I think your wingspan is usually equel to your height so you were pry putting your closer to 6 feet (unless you are unporportioned)... Just playing man... Great video...
Probably the most helpfull Uplight video on YouTube Thanks Mikey Mike and Tyrone Blue. Also thanks for pointing me to the Rain 56's I got 5 more coming for a total of 10 real soon!
that was awsome i will spread the word around and i might even try and hook my school up with one of those, they look like they need that type of seystem also they look like the should look into LED thanks alot again.
How do you get it to work with the 3 prongs on the flat par pros?

For a 3 prong plug just use a 3 prong adaptor. You can get them at the dollar store.

I've never seen you SO happy Mike!
You're like a kid with a new toy. A fantastic idea. Although I'll have to do some research regarding the safety factor @ 240v - Cheers, Steve.

That is very cool. Love the idea. It would be interesting to see what up lights you can get with only the two prong. Which ones do you use?
DJJimmyT99 3 years ago
Almost all of mine have 2 prongs they dont use the ground in the other ones so AI could put a 2 prong end on and use it that way ...
THanks DJ Mikey Mike
