  • man, she is pretty and i love her voice. makes me want to go to a dentist. and i love how her grammer is sort of screwy.

  • HOW DO U REPAIR UR RECEDING GUMS? I don't get how u brush? If you brush a certain way u can't them back to normal? Please help thanks :)

  • You are great! Thank you!

But I like free whitening methods at home.

    I got plenty!

  • she's hot

  • this is good basic information and btw Michelle you are such a hottie-dang!

  • I aint no expert n never really researched. But what she said is more from what the individual can do on a daily basis to reduce/prevent further receding of their gums. But her title is misleading and thats what makes her advice seem discreditable. But if she had titled it " how to reduce advancement of receding gums with daily care" the nothing she said is wrong.

  • Um... You can't repair receding gums... In order to get your gum back, you have a surgery done where they take a piece of the tissue from your palate and suture (or stitch) it into place. Brushing with a soft toothbrush can PREVENT receding gums, along with flossing.

  • Herbal Dentist repaired my receding gums! Check it out on Ebay!

  • but shes cute! hubba hubba!

  • @dopeboydrama Ha ha....good point!!

  • Waste of time. People from Florida don't have teeth!

  • @tangledweb79

    This comment made me laugh.

Well, not all dentists are helpful actually, I visited one dentist and never went back because they were rubbish. Didn't listen to any of my concerns at all. So, what is the point of that? Waste of time.

  • lol

  • just take your top off and shut up

  • @nealyodude11 lol funny

  • At :57, I thought she was about to turn into Ms. Teen South Carolina on us.

  • garbage video

  • hahahahahahahaha......she has no idea what shes talking about. magically regenrating gums??? adaptation or surgery! only two options.

  • expertvillage most always has some very bad advice I noticed.

  • it's a good video for discussing brushing techniques. however, it has tremendous misinformation: you cannot brush your gums back to their original position. that is physiologically and anatomically impossible. furthermore, the idea that overbrushing or brushing with a hard brush is causative is not based in fact. as a clinical practitioner (periodontist) i see recession primarily in people that are bruxers. if you have recession have your bite (occlusion) checked carefully.

  • You need some toothpaste? I have some homemade ones you can have all over your mouth :)

  • I heard that failure of having gums regrow after grafting can actually make it worse.

Only one of my tooth is being affected by receding gums, and it hurts when I eat/drink something cold.

  • So, once receding gums start, you can reverse it? I just wanna make sure.

  • @Sup750 No. You can't "push" your gums back up. Gums don't grow back up after they recede. The only thing you can do now is talk to your dentist about grafting your gums.

  • u can repair my receding gums any day!

  • I use a product called Herbal Dentist. Took care of my receding gums! Found it through an ebay search, keyword "herbal dentist." Try it! It works!

  • @JamesMitchell78

    Did it cure completely?

  • @Sup750 Definitely helped alot! Took care of the "long in the tooth" look I was getting. Now I see more gums and less tooth root!

  • Dental hygeine (brushing and flossing) is only half the battle. If you have gum disease, you need to supplement your diet with additional vitamin C, vitamin A (or beta-carotene), coenzyme Q-10, and as much antioxidants as you can. A good dental irrigator will work wonders also.

  • Firstly, she should have DEFINED gum recession and its causes. It can be down to neglect and just not removing plaque and bacteria when cleaning OR there can be an under lying health problem. But if the root has become visible then generaly only surgery can repair the problem. Treatment will vary depending on severity of the recession and the health of underlying bone and tooth. Sorry, but this girl perfectly demonstrates the old adage "a little knowledge is dangerous."

  • My gums were receding bad, it was like a rubber-band was tight, pushing down on my gums! It hurt! I got my soft tooth brush, brushed in a circular motion, and boy, it helps! It quit hurting right away!

  • I feel bad for this woman. Her use of language is terrible.

  • WTF,

gums are tissue, once receded you cannot magically regenerate the tissue by brushing upwards.

  • where did this girl get her info? It sounds like she needs to take her continuing ed. classes. She's got some old ideas of causes and repair of recession. how funny...you can brush your gums right back to their original attachment level after having the loss of attachment. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN! Try perio sx, it will be a bit more successful!

  • Someone needs to report her at Florida Dental Hygiene Association for misleading info to the public

  • the info was all wrong...except that you should use a soft brush. Where's she getting her info from? she definetely needs some updated info on causes and repair of recession.

  • michelle you georgfes

  • She reminds me of Miss Carolina.

"So therefore you have to use soft toothbrush such as not too hard so as to therefore not put too much pressure on your gums to make your gums not recede."

  • ur hot xxxxxxxxxx

  • why would you push them back up? isn't that what receeding means?

  • you push them back because they are inflamed.

  • @d4v33 maybe she meant pushing backup on the bottom row ?

  • Poor presentation, good information.

  • wow i would have said it the otherway around. only info was to see a dentist and use a soft toothbrush yet the presentation was given by a sexy dental assistant who only slipped up once.

  • thank you very much

  • Does anyone have any objective journal references demonstrating research that documents you can actually get gum tissue to grow over exposed root surfaces by brushing the gum tissue up along the roots?

  • you dont push them back up - you can go to a periodontist and have tissue grafts done

  • now brushes can do the job of a floss, pretty handy o.o

  • What if your gums are receeding on the bottom teeth? How would you push "up into the gums" to "push them back up" if its not the gums on the top teeth that you're worried about?

  • @the0nlybandever hang upside down :) jk

  • Errrrm...so no mention of flossing? I would have thought that is a pretty vital part of keeping your gums healthy!

  • I see noone has commented. Well, I appreciate the time someone took to make this. A demonstration with some false teeth would've helped on how to brush the receding gums, I have them and am worried, came for help. Thanks.
