Corey Taylor is the best performer. I've been to a crapload of concerts, and the stone sour concert is definitely in the top two. Can't decide between them and Iron Maiden. Stone Sour is only close to Maiden because of Corey Taylor. Him and Bruce Dickenson are definitely the top two I've ever seen. (That's right....THE Bruce Dickenson!)

I think alot of people don't think metal singers can actually sing. They think that they just can scream and that's it. So I think it's cool that Corey shows that not all metal vocalists are just screamers and actually have vocal talent. Therefore I think both bands are good.

They're recording a new album when Slipknot gets off tour. And the reason you probably don't like Stone Sour is because you're expecting it to sound like Slipknot when in fact they are 2 totally different bands. Every Slipknot song sounds the same and it gets really old after a while. I'll give them that All Hope Is Gone was a departure, but not a good one IMO. And you can't judge Stone Sour based on "Bother" and "Through Glass", those are both radio songs. The rest of the albums are great.

dude iv personally sat down and listened to a few albums from stone sour (due to the loss of a bet) i listened to them and i thought they sucked. and slipknot has the most unique band in the world. they do not make ever song sound the same. your mistaking them for dragonforce but anyway. slipknot is having too much of a good time right now to just call it quits. plus the new masks are the sign of a new era. dont doubt them dude.

I'm not denying that Slipknot sounds different than other bands, but their songs do all sound the same. Stone Sour is a more melodic, musical band. Are they metal? in some ways yes, but mostly no they aren't. You can't listen to Stone Sour and expect a Slipknot sound, because they are 2 totally different bands. Jim Root can actually expand as a guitar player, and Corey's vocals are pretty amazing.
