I'm a bit cynicle about Pacino and De Niro being SUCH good actors in the strictest sense of the word. They seem to be hired for their charisma, presence, etc, but generally play the same sort of characters. Take somebody like Anthony Hopkins - huge presence, but plays the same roles.. whereas Bob Hoskins, who gets far less respect because he's a short fat cockney isntead of a well spoken thespian English gent, has played far more diverse parts.
