  • Good thing it didn't die while he was turning over the cards!

  • I really have no idea how I managed to put 12 posts of the same thing up there. 2 I can understand, but 12? ...oops.

  • I also own an ECM-53FP, and when Jim pulls the one around to use it, the windscreen is on the verge of falling off. I can't imagine what would have happened if he wound up with a broken 51 in one hand and the windscreen off a 53 in the other.

  • its a wired mic..how could it die..its not a wired less

  • At :28, you see Jim yank the cord. That's when he pulls the plug.

  • See? It is great & funny to see game show hosts act human, and also be resourceful, all while the cameras are rolling. Today, everything moves too smoothly & has little spontaneity like this.

  • Good thinking Jim of using the contestants microphone.

  • Trivia: The microphones on the contestant podium are Sony ECM-53FPs.

    "How did I know that?"

One of those was auctioned on eBay 2 weeks ago and I won it.

  • Careful, Jim. Don't let your microphone wire slip out of the socket.

  • Wait...is it just me, or did I just hear someone sounding like TPiR announcer Rich Fields laughing in the background whenever Bob or Drew said something funny?

Whoever said that this was funny for the audience and a nightmare for Jim was probably correct--most game shows nowadays edit mistakes out which lead to bloopers, but the NBC staff was very generous and left the blooper in. Keep up the good work. :)

  • This was little bit funny for the audience but a nightmare for Jim. Technical difficulties tend to happen on the air & it's important to have a sense of humor about it; especially if your not responsible for it. Jim had a good sense of humor about it & that's why we enjoy him so much. The moment here may not be the biggist blopper that occured but it's a blopper nonetheless; a moment worthy of 4 stars. Nowadays we use cordless to prevent mikes from busting; at least we hope so.

  • Do you have the episode feautring Sammy Davis Jr.?

  • No, I am sorry

  • lol. i really like jim perry.

  • He is my favorite game show host!

  • Hey, I love him too! I loved him since Sale Of The Century! I'm glad he has a sense of humor!

  • OOPS!!
