  • not supposed to put root veggies in a green smoothie...

  • im not a ginger fan will this be just as effective without it?

  • @rach0babe

I don't know if it will be as effective, but if you don't like ginger, then make one without it. I used to not like ginger, too.

    :)

  • how often should i drink this?

  • @Soraya4U

Hi, that sounds like a question for a doctor. I'm not a doctor. I suggest green smoothies, I don't prescribe them, so I guess when you're hungry and in the mood for it, like any food and drink.

    :)

    Jane.

    Hi Debbie,

It came out even better than I thought - it's creamy and mild and the tomatoes are so light and fresh - please let me know what you think of it - I owe some of my best smoothies to the viewers who write in - so I thank Sonia for this one.

    :)

  • By the way... here is a smoothie I just made - very delicious! 1 bunch organic farm fresh spinach - about 30 leaves 1 bunch mint from my garden - about 15 leaves

Basil - about 6 leaves 1/2 lime - just the juice 1 small orange - peeled and cut in half 1 apply - I used a granny smith for tartness 1 banana - fresh but with sugar spots splash of orange juice or water for help in blending 7 ice cubes Blend all and enjoy.. bright - green - perhaps you'll make on a show soon

  • @pesto12601

That sounds great - it's on the list! I like how you counted out the leaves - very precise.

    Jane

  • @blenditandMendit I like to be sure I can reproduce it exactly if it is good... counting the leaves gives a good measure. Hope you make it - would love to see it on the Tube! :)

  • You DO NOT need to peel ginger - especially organic and especially since the vitamix will liquify. However, sometimes the peel can impart a slight bitterness which you may not want in the drink...

  • @pesto12601

Ah - bitterness, that's probably why people peel it - I haven't noticed that yet, maybe I just don't know the difference. Thanks.

    Jane
