  • snoppy is so fucking scrumptious in that bow tie......awwwwwwwwwwweee.

  • Lol, I love Schroder, but I feel kinda bad for Lucy. >.>

  • 0:43, why the heck is Charlie Brown IN the mail box?!

So out of character, I like the original Valentine's Day special better...

  • @nickichick to get out from the rain:)

  • Charlie Brown is so cute!!!

  • I just saw this on ABC on T.V. whenever it gets close to Valentine's Day. Actually, I think I'd watch this every Valentine's Day.

  • @bcakapinky TRADITIONS

  • It seems that the beagle there is attractive to every known species on the Earth.

  • marcie and patty need to get together already and make all of us happy

  • Charlie Brown: "I'm afraid she'd hang up on my face"

Linus: "That's the beauty of calling her on the phone. One ear is not a whole face".

  • WHY THE HELL DID THEY SHOW THE LITTLE RED HAIRED GIRL?! She isn't supposed to be shown.. thats the main point about her..

  • @Bloedheini Actually, she was also shown in "It's Your First kiss, Charlie Brown," which came out, circa 1978. Only in that one, her hair was straight.

  • @Mato1970 And she was also seen in "Happy New Year, Charlie Brown" circa 1985. Again, her hair was long and straight.

  • As in, stick to the status quo?

  • If you put up "charlie brown peppermint patty married" in the Search toolbar, you're bound to be delighted...

  • star wars episode 4 is on

  • THIS IS THE DUMBEST EPISODE I EVER SEEN!

  • From 0:04-0:09

    YOSHIKAGE KIRA!?

  • my grandma used to have this on tape....

but when she died, i dont WHO got all her tapes.

  • how cute...

  • I'm starting to think this was a made up episode considering Marcie is out of character here. In the comic strip she's a lot kinder.

  • @Undetermined1986

I wish they'd do a new Valentine's episode that finally brings Marcie and Charlie together (I'm a MarcieXCharlie supporter). Even just a steady girlfriend in general, it doesn't have to be Marcie. I'm fine as long as it's not Lucy (in response to some fanfiction I've noticed).

  • @MWolfL I don't know... I kinda like the Charlie-Brown-and-Peppermint-Patty combination.

  • @StukInBuf

I don't know. Peppermint Patty is nice to Charlie, but she rarely lets him get a word in edgewise. I mean there was Thanksgiving: inviting herself and a couple friends without getting Charlie's say-so and then complaining about the food. Plus, Peppermint can whip Charlie at sports and Charlie's self-esteem is already too low as it is. Charlie really needs someone who is nice, will let him talk now and then, and won't whip him at sports (he gets too much of that already).

  • How 'bout Lila?

  • @U1986NuclearGrounds

Hm...well she's nice but she and Charlie don't know each other very well. If they did a cartoon where they finally meet and they ended up liking each other then maybe.

  • @MWolfL how about a "you got her pregnant charlie brown" where Charlie or pigpen knocks up the little red haired girl and has to get a job and discuss abortion

  • @bushregmike

Er...that sounds a little too 'ahead' of the series. Fanfiction is one thing but in this case...well, a lot of little kids love watching Peanuts so not a good idea.

  • @MWolfL no kid? they could follow that up with 'You have an STD charlie brown!" haha just kidding :))))) I've actually been crying watching the old peanuts movies today

  • @bushregmike

Sounds like you're nostalgic, like I am (except I smile big time instead of cry). Anything else you're nostalgic about?

  • @MWolfL the quality of writing now adays has gone down and the idea of a cartoon like peanuts is beyond writers in hollywood today. I'm nostaligic about old school women

  • @bushregmike

Me, I'm nostalgic about a lot of cartoons from the 1990s, like ChalkZone and Rugrats and Animaniacs. I'm also nostalgic about things from the 40s-50s and some cartoons from the 80s (which is kinda weird since I was born in 1990, oh well XD).

  • he didnt invite you two

  • I'm little red-haired girl.

  • I'm Schroeder.

  • Snazzy :D

  • whats the name of the song 1:17 that piano song

  • I love how the kids in line (for the pencil sharpener) are drawn! They even got a pseudo-emo hipster look down (the guy with the sweater, tie, spiked hair, and striped pants)!

  • goes to show how retro the hipster thing really is

  • The music from 3:07 to 3:47 is from the special, "You're in Love, Charlie Brown"

  • does any1 kno wat the song in the credits is called? ive been looking EVERYWHERE FOR IT!

  • Lucy: well, you know the old saying....

    Schroeder: No what?

    Lucy: RATS!

  • I actually really loved this Peanuts cartoon. Like many of the other newer ones, the vocal performances and the script is flat, but all these different sequences were straight out of some of my favorite Peanuts comic strips, including the dance one, which was a Spring Dance in the original comic strips.

  • "I think your too whishy-washy, big brother."

I love that "whishy-washy"-catch phrase from Sally Brown.

  • and y is sally's voice so high?

  • Who hires an eight year old bouncer?

  • At least they actually dressed him up in the special. In the comic strip, he just wears regular street clothes. Anything for Schultz to avoid showing adults. :-)

  • Linus: I AM NOT YOUR SWEET BABOO!!

  • The background song played while Charlie Brown is at the dance is "Linus & Lucy" in smooth jazz form.

  • I live near Los Angeles, and we have a smooth jazz station called 94.7 The Wave, and they've played that several times in the past! :-)

  • You mean "Linus & Lucy", the Peanuts theme. Of course, it's become a classic now.

  • Yes, thank you! :-)

  • I can't believe they actually SHOWED the Little Red-Haired Girl!

  • That's the discrepancy between the cartoon and Schulz's comic strips. The LR-HG was never meant to be shown, but they bucked that trend and gave her not only a name but an identity.

  • Yeah, which they did in "It's Your First Kiss Charlie Brown." But in this one, even though the Little Red-Haired Girl was depicted in full-frame, she remained silent and they did not name her. Which I think was a good idea

  • She was much cuter in "Its your first kiss charlie brown"

  • The odds are Heather was far from Schultz's vision of the Little Red-Haired Girl. At least they were more accurate with how she looked. That curly fro-like hair she sports was something Snoopy actually sported as a wig in a comic strip when Charlie practices talking to her.

  • charlie brown & snoopy
