Hey there, KA7EII .. nice to see that you use a Dual turntable !! The best turntable I ever had was a 1973 Dual model .. I swear by 'em. Great posting re this tune, as well. In my collection I've got the fantastic version of this number recorded in 1926 by Gid Tanner & The Skillet Lickers .. but what I really like about your post is that the lyrics here are crystal-clear & easy to listen to & understand. Well done !!
One of my All Time Old Timey Doggy Favorites... the Anthem for all Mutts! Great Version! Now if somebody can get me a decent copy of - My Dog Loves Your Dog (1934 from the Movie George White's Scandals).
In 1965, the New Christy Minstrels recorded a song called CHIM CHIM CHEREE on Columbia
records. The flip side was their version of this song. The D.J. at night on WKY radio played this song instead of the "A" side of the record. I still have this version by the Minstrels here at home.

You obviously have your turntable fitted with a 3mil stylus to play 78rpm records. The audio is amazing!

Thanks for the info Larry! I have always liked the New Christy Minstrels.
KOMA can still be heard here at night.
Take care - Rocky.
