  • I like caterhams cause you can ride them pretty fast on roads as narrow as this one. wish i had a track like this near a place where i live. those K-series engines are crazy.

  • Very nice driving, very nice car!

  • Warming up the tyres by accelerating while braking?

You are just cooking the clutch.

  • @avril2 - I think I'd need three feet to do that ;)

  • very nice mister!! I can almost taste the speed!!

    Greetz from Holland...

  • When I am old enough, I really want a Caterham. In particular the r500 superlight, which I think is the best one. Your video looks so exciting, and any caterham is such a pure driving experience. No aids whatsoever, that's how I drive (on my xbox, of course). Your driving is very impressive, smooth and controlled like a pro.

  • Hell yeah. Great car!

  • Excellent driving! And nice Caterham!

  • what engine has it got in it?

  • As it says above, a Rover K Series 1800 like all the Caterhams built around that time. This one produces 230BHP at 7800rpm.

  • Trees bring focus

  • I really like the way you handle the slight oversteering, reminds me of rallying...

  • Ta mate. We try to keep the oversteer to a minimum because you're looking for tenths if not hundredths of a second in hill climbing so smoothness is everything. But it's nice to hang the back end out a little now and then :)

  • I might expect it can be faster sometimes to slightly oversteer. It's not that you're drifting, it's just nice how you keep the car in attack mode :)

  • was that the stig driving that car??

    Are YOU the stig???

  • No, I'm not the Stig - but I taught him everything he knows ;)

  • @Cat7Ken lol nice answer :P

  • I love the way your seven sounds! Nice driving as well! ^_^ I'm hoping to get a super 7 in the near future.

  • OK found it , just where the tarmac changes colour (not to green LOL) Managed a 61.4 on 1A's with a windscreen

  • Cant be Loton its too dry LOL

It will be my third atempt on sunday

where do you brake before the 90 left opposite the return road

  • About two seconds after your brain screams BRAKE!!!

  • nice one.

  • very nice but is this with miata turbo engine or the motorcycle engine?

  • It's a Rover 1800K Series, naturally aspirated producing 230 bhp. The car weighs about 495 Kg.

  • nothing corners like a 7

  • Hi Madnitro - thanks for asking about Joy. She's still in a wheel chair but is starting to put weight back on her legs and has started serious physio.

She's incredibly positive and will undoubtedly be back hill climbing early next year.

  • Glad to hear she is on the mend, Is she wanting towards driving a manual or going to drive an automatic Caterham/kit car?

Shes got some talent thats for sure!, send her my best wishes (I know i'm a random guy on the internet, but all the same its horrible to hear someone has been in an road accident)

I'll look forward to hearing her progress, is there a local site with perhaps more info?, cheers.

  • She'll be aiming for 100% ability to drive a manual and is getting there. The video above isn't Joy unfortunately, it's me. However she did beat me at one event this year!!

  • Notice this was posted in June, Is Joy ok now?

    Great driving there!

  • Awesome dude !!! 5 STARS !!!

  • That's a pretty unforgiving track.

  • and a pretty unforgiving car
