Excuse me paul, but you are wrong about the updates. It will still update automatically, but the force update option is there if the files are corrupted and need to be updated.

heyy paul i love ur vids and watched like everyone. and i know ur porbly busy with work and minecraft and life but my friend just recently bought minecraft and he made a server. we followed the vids u made on setting up the server and all and we can get on it but when we do its all jumpy and we cant destroy stuff or build. it like destroys then pops back up like with that block in remmis town and if u build it disappears. please help if anyone has any answers.

force update force a full re-download of all game files in case you suspect your local files are corrupt

normal updates are prompted after logging in and the launcher asks if you wish to update. You can choose between “Not yet” and “Yes”.

Pardon the silly question, Paul, but what in your Adobe editor do you change to make your video a tad better looking in the dark? I know Fraps tends to make dark areas really difficult to see. When I try to edit my Fraps footage to make it a tad brighter, my colors come out strange and washed out. (I have the same editing programs, by the way)

@MainStringer Fraps is really dark, you're right! I used Camtasia for this video, though and also for Minecraft Dad ep 17. MvM has been Adobe Premiere and Fraps so yeah, it's dark. I may try Camtasia with it soon... can also bump up the gamma, I suppose... never tried.

Hey! This is just a suggestion, but you should make a tutorial on converting the multiplayer server file into the new 1.3 update thing. I've been trying to convert it but I'm not possitive how.

@ameno21 With 15 characters, using numbers and alphabetic letters, you can make 221,073,919,720,733,357,899,77­6 different passwords (that is: 221 sextillion, you probably haven't even heard of that number before). That will take you a loooooong ass time to crack. Even with a supercomputer :)

I have beta 1.2_0.2,and when i open minecraft it gives me the beta 1.3 screen and says "Welcome to the new launcher"

But when i press options and click force update,and then it says "will force," I dont know what to do next.Oh yeah and also when i login it still says Beta 1.2_0.2 instead of Beta1.3:( PLEASE HELP

You don't have to click "Force Update" to update. That just tells it to update without asking you. If you don't click it, after you Login, you'll see a message pop up saying "A new version is available do you want to download now?" And then you can choose. Force Update just bypasses that screen.
