Roy is a prime example of how an instructor should be rolling with his students. I try to do this with all of my students. Rolling with me is a learning experience for them and should be treated as such. I tap them from time to time to keep their ego in check but I allow them to tap me so they can perform the techniques for repetition.
please please open a school in Atlanta, i know it's a long way away, but i would start doing JJ again if i had a school of this calibre. the places around here are just too much ego and not enough respect.
I am always impressed by both the heart your students possess and the mastery with which you demonstrate your martial arts. I wish I could train at your school.
The music in all your videos is fantastic, a much needed change from the heavy metal crap that I usually find in martial arts videos. The BJJ too, is superb. Keep up the good work and videos
I like how Roy Dean doesn't just dominate him, which we all know he can, but in a way still teaching him while they were sparring. A true martial artist and a wonderful instructor. Congratulations Pryor!
Nicely done, good instructing, you can tell from what's being seen. To the people comenting Roy could've finished him fairly easily however as instructor there is nothing a student can learn from being tappedd out time after time you've to let them flow. Oh and I love your Dojo's design its so legit. -Kind Regards-
nice blue belt demonstration really, this guy seriously deserved it. even though he's somewhat at age, he is still doing a great job, especially at the sparring part, i was really amazed. usually you see people doing the moves at the first part flawlessly and when it comes to sparring, it won't be as fluent anymore, but this guy is doing a good job at both, much respect to him!
and yay for roy dean sparring again at the end :) slick armbar @ 9:45.
Always enjoy to see a video uploaded from you. This was very good, I even said "whoa" out loud because he did somethings I haven't seen from a white belt. Also it's good to see your are well again, and back to sparring.
The quality of these videos and the superb technique displayed is just incredible. I love this channel!

@2008HLB Thats any sport, any where in the country. You'll have your egotistical elitists in every sport. BJJ is no exception.

why did his Blue Belt come with a white stripe already on it? it usually isn't for another five months that you get a stripe.
pedro90 6 months ago
@pedro90 Thats how that brand of belt is made... an every school is different. Some dont even use stripes.

I really like watching these. Never had a belt test myself but they seem very useful and probably very satisfying for the students themselves.

Hell ya, I was waiting for another testing video. Nice Job Pryor!
