Good lord that's Thom Bresh playing with him right. Don't leave out mentioning one of the best guitarists on the planet playing that acoustic behind Nokie,. Nice capture of Doc speaking. Loved it
I hear you bro, I would have loved to be at that festival! At least some kind soul captured some of it on video for us to enjoy. Thanks so much for posting this!
I totally agree with you. Nokie's just getting better with time. And this video is a great gift...And about Doc Watson, he is another great player with a great soul...God bless those great talents....I hope they both live over a 100......So we can have the pleasure to listen to them, and learn.
gitarlvr.. I agree.. How in the world can people like Paris Hilton get any air time for being such a complete waste of human space. Were kind and wise good hearted man like Doc Watson cant even get national air time. Our children need to see real icons and idols that are something to aspire to. My children will not know of Paris hilton but they will know of a great man named Doc Watson.. A man with values..
I saw Doc Watson live at NYC's Town Hall! I also saw Missippi John Hurt, Ramblin Jack Elliot, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Judy Collins and others there! But seeing Doc Watson's fingers fly was special!

Holy moly, the Ventures meet Doc Watson! How cool. Great music came from both. Doc & Nokie should have
collaborated, I could just hear it now:
"Walk, Don't Ride The Tennessee Stud".

@nixjag1 It's hardly surprising - both the ventures and doc watson were huge Chet Atkins fans - he actually recorded Walk Don't Run before they did.
