Just watching the highlights makes me nervous even though this was almost nine years ago. This was the first game my freshman year and god DAMN was it hot that day at Owen Field. Hell of an effort by both teams, and a hell of an organized effort by all the Bama fans, 99% of whom showed up wearing white.
Oklahoma plays Florida St this year and next year, we play Notre Dame in 2012 & 2013, Tennessee in 2014 & 2015, Ohio St in 2016 & 2017, and LSU in 2018 & 2019. OU is one of the few schools out there who will schedule and play anyone. Last year we played BYU at a neutral site, went on the road and played Miami, in 2008 we played two top 15 teams in TCU and Cincinnati, we've played Oregon, Alabama, etc all under Stoops.
Meh.... we were down during that time period, but we actually had a really good team in 2002. We were 10-3 that year and 2 of those 3 losses were to top 5 teams (Georgia and Oklahoma). The other loss was a fluke against the Cow College (Auburn). But in all honesty, I wasn't that bummed out when we lost to the Sooners in 2002 and 2003. I'd rather lose to them then use to Tennessee, LSWHO, the Gayturds, or the Cow College.
YUMMO!!

Tough for OU losing Jason White early in the game. Nate Hybl did a good job taking over for the Sooners and getting a W.
Also a good job by Franchione keeping the Tide in the game and a chance to win in the 4th quarter. I though it was one o fhis bext coaching efforts.

@HazMatCFO Jason white hurt both his knees while not even getting hit once in 01 vs Neb and the other in this game wow weak knees.

Alabama was truly a worthy opponent both times we faced back in the day. I wouldn't mind playing them again. :)

Bama was down around that time but I wish they could get a series here soon while they are both competing for a National title.
