This is the most pathetic fangame of all time. Think of it: a 2D fan remake of Sonic 2006? How can you fail that?

THIS is exactly how the idea can go wrong: by replicating everything that was bad about the original. The stiffness, the shitty level design, the annoying quirks such as instant death when touching the sand in the second stage with no obvious method of circumventing it, they're all there.

Also you can't attack Eggman robots/Iblis monsters by jumping on them. Depressing, really.

Y'know, I thought this'd be a good idea.

And to be honest, I still think it is. I would love to play a good 2D rendition of one of the greatest letdowns and rollercoaster rides of decent-great ideas marred by terrible execution.

But you guys desperately need to investigate your level design. Long autopilot segments, blind jumps, sudden deaths, and apalling linearity honestly make playing this game almost more painful than Sonic 06 itself.

I appreciate the effort, but... I'm disappointed.

They weren't necessarily so great in '06 itself, but a bit of work could have fixed them here.

You should definitely continue on to Shadow and Silver. I only have a few small gripes with the game.

1. It needs fixed jumping mechanics. The main problem here is that your jump has a set height. Your jump should be based on how long you hold the button.

2. Some of the hit boxes are too freaking big! This is most noticeable in 3 places. The fire spewers, the Iblis Worms and Silver's "Its no use!" attack.

Other then that, its great!

Don't forget sonic 06 had a deadline that just couldn't be met, if you knew that these kind of quotes would not be nessary, this fan game has been worked on for years so they can make sure thigns your good to go, sonic 06 was having a hard time meaning alot of stuff had to be cut. its like saying make generations modern stages 100% side scrolling and you get a better experience, it dont work like that (3DS game does not count)

Hey, I just reuploaded the game with a few urgent fixes.

You can use the previous save game with the new one, just copy the file "save.ini" to a different folder, reinstall and put it back.
