  • Wonderful seeing Mr And Mrs work together on a labor of love. and BTW, you do a nice job editing. :)

  • The 260 is a great limbing saw, and can be useful for putting smaller trees to length. There are more aggressive chains available, but if she's just starting out, keep with the green ;)

  • I don't know that much about chainsaw bars, @ 0:18 doesn't that bend the bar.

  • Call me a tree-hugger but it seems very violent to me. o_O

  • Nowadays those logs wouldn't bring the money it takes to get them out especially with that dozer. We're a dying breed.

  • I am really enjoying watching your progress. God bless and stay safe!

  • Hey how well do those bugz goggles work. The guys and I were just talking about them. Do they dig in around your eyes?

Thats great to see your wife start a saw properly (no bump starting ) and wearing chaps, forestry hard hat, and gloves. Double thumbs up for the first aid kit at the ready.

  • wow! a lumberjill. you don't see many of them!

  • Cody you have really gotten the hang of felling timber. Your stumps are a lot cleaner. How did you get the wife to join the fun? You and your wife are a real inspiration to watch working a team.

  • Is that a dedicated brush blade or was it a pin on of a type that I have not seen before? I don't recall having seen a full brush blade that doesn;t have a pin on rakes. I have used only pin on rakes on the cats and skidders.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • @steeleninja3 I was wondering as well, I really like it.

  • @steeleninja3

The Child's Song by Tom Rush

  • enjoy watching your vids, thanks, makes me wish I lived in tree country.

  • G'day your one lucky dude.. why? well looks like you have not only a wife but a mate as well!,you have what most never get, good luck to you guys hey....

  • Really good song! Who's the singer?

  • Is this the same Cody that runs/ran wranglerbarn?

  • can you leave the trees alone, it hurts me to see you cut so many trees

  • nice save on the widow maker!

  • Wow! Such an incredible amount of work in your OHP. Thanks for sharing.

  • Great video! Love the equipment, the scenery and it looks like you should have enough logs stockpiled for a serious timber frame. Going for a sawmill next?

  • Whatta gal cutting logs, this is great!

  • what song is this? thanks

  • Great to see the Cat in action! These types of videos showing some of the work have been a real pleasure to watch. Thanks for taking the time to share them.

  • What is that "holster" you carry your axe in? Thank you for your time.

  • In one word.... "Wonderment"!.... Living the Dream. Love the video with your grandfather, maybe your best! Great Stuff to see you building your dream, and Thanks for Sharing it with us. It Is by Giving that we receive. Haven't heard that Cat Stevens song in a long while. I always Loved it, made me a little sad then, and more so Today.

  • I/m surprised the Government hasn't shut you down for being so independent and self sufficient.

  • @homertalk I hear you there!

  • Wow... Nice to see the CAT in the action too : ) Mrs Wranglerstar is a true Star. Please keep up these amazing videos Cody. All the best to you and your family. God Bless you from Australia.

  • Just a great video. I agree with user "Graveltrucking" whoever disliked this video must be a tree hugger. That TD20B dozer gets in there and gets the job done.

  • Nice video. I really like the look of the soil there, and it appears to be very rich soil. Hope it is for you.

I have my own Stihl and I love it. It is the easy start so no exasperation on pulling to start. I'm a 61 y/o woman and I won't hesitate to crank it off and start cutting. Though I have been clearing the land where I currently live, I am looking to buy further out in the country so will have to start anew. I missed Jack in the video!

  • Absolutely 100% NOTHING sexier than a woman who can get her hands dirty and look good doing it! With all due respect of course.

You need to get on the Discovery Channel Cody. We got Dave Canterberry on Dual Survival we can get your own show too! I would definitely watch. The work you are doing is a lost art and needs to be shown to the world. If you agree give this a thumbs up!

  • Nice ol cat! Is there a video with a rendition of what your place is going to look like? I think many of us are living vicariously with your project, thanks for sharing it.

  • Some serious work! You're doing well... husband and wife working together in perfect harmony! Jesus is with you Cody!

  • Thx Cody. BTW what is the name of the song/artist of the song in the video? Thanks.

    -Cory

  • Awesome!

  • Thank you. These videos always put a smile on my face.

  • Dominos.

  • Very, very nice video. Well done!

  • What two people would dislike a video like this? Maybe they are jealous or something....

  • Great vid. I always enjoy video from you.

I was always taught to yell timber, or else, it does not count. ;) Thanks for all the hard work.

  • personally hand building a house for your family is such a great thing to be doing. too many people are going soft.

  • bravo

  • you only have to clear it once at least

  • what s up the modern eqip if youre a prerrer or old time craftsman??

  • @scnatureboy69 I prefer both

  • @scnatureboy69 as a side note. My cat was built in 1969. I would not call it modern

  • @wranglerstar U should have my tractor! '49 TD-18 International, cable blade, power out winch(no arch or fair leed).I ben running it(and loging with it) for 30+ years,a real mans machine!I think its going to out last me!!

  • It's nice to see you two working together, but she will want some tin pants, Thanks for sharing Cody I always look forward to seeing the next video.

  • @rchopp That's what I keep telling her

  • Great vid! Thanks for posting.

  • So is your plan to buy a portable sawmill to make lumber?

  • Well you are getting there, you definatly would want to powerwash the dirt off the logs before any alaskan milling or are you going to peal them and build a log cabin.

Must be the tree huggers that are hitting the dislike button.

  • What, no mules? Very nice Cody

  • @shotgunjoel the mules are camera shy. They prefer to be behind the scene

  • Cody,

Is there anymore land for sale up around where you are? If so, about how much an acre? You have me hooked & there is nowhere in Florida that I would even attempt anything like that. Plus we miss the mountains. Keep the vids coming, they are great & so are you and your family

    ALL THE BEST

    JOE

  • Nice job on the last tree bump at the end

  • I don't even want to know how much you are spending in fuel for all those machines.

  • @aaadream I try not to think about it.

  • @wranglerstar True....I have had that happen too....good job.
