  • Hahaha my room mates snapper. Lol I have a dirty mind. Awesome turtles!

  • Love your UHRES. Had a RES for a few years. She escaped. Found her in the yard in spring. She was taken out of her tank again and never was found. Now I have three babies about 3" and need to know what light to get. Most UVB/UVA+heat lights are 100W which is too big/hot for this 10 gal.

What would you recommend. I'm getting nervous since one has dimples in his shell. Not getting enough UV. Have a zilla day bulb but it has no UV accoring to the package. What do I need for this 10 gal

  • awesome setups. how many did you put in the huge tank? oh and i hope your roommate helps out with the elec bill. :)

  • You can make turtle soup

  • i have 2 diamondbacks about the same size as yours. their like a year/year and a half. what do you suggest as a basking platform? and any suggestions on good filters? their in a 75 gallon

  • Why no Yellow-Belly sliders? They're such a fun breed. Also, I would die to live in that basement surrounded by 30 turtles.

  • and is it okay to feed my terrapin on food pellets?

  • is uv lamp a must and do u need to on the spotlight overnight?

  • how can u afford all of tht o.o

  • Welll you got a new subscriber

  • You like turtles

  • Just a quick question. I have a pet Terrapin, already with a filter and heat lamp but now I've kind of inherited a Perch from a friend and I was wondering whether or not I could keep them in the same tank?

  • @DeathWithoutRemorse I would say as long as it is smaller than the turtle.

  • Dude your setup is awesome!

  • what type of filters do u use?

  • Hi what is the difference between a RES and a rio grande slider?

  • @nikesk8er10 The patterning. Rio grande RES are more ornate in patterning.

  • Attention Viewers I am protesting about Turtles and how they should be allowed in TN.Please may you Subcribe to me to help and join the cause.I am going to send a letter to my govenor Bill Haslam. Please like this so everyone may see. This is not a scam.

  • Put some gravel in the tankks

  • do u mind giving me the site where u bought the diamondback terrapin? thx and nice setup

  • @MrHerbavore it was from a post on the kingsnake classifieds.

  • Did you get your Diamondback terrapin at a local pet store or online?

  • @louisfancooper all online

  • very nice set up. i have been looking into getting a red ear slider.

  • are there any turtles that breath oxygen?

  • @bruceyberry Please do some research on turtles. Turtles are reptiles, reptiles have lungs. They breathe air. Just because they are aquatic in nature does not mean that they do not breathe air. Fish breathe air. How else do you think turtles are shipped cross continents? How else would they bask? Before you think of these as a pet you need to learn a great deal more.

  • @perpetualwandrer i just saw, he has basking spots on top of the cage. so hes doing everything right.

  • @bruceyberry D me a favor PLZ ... do not buy a turtle until you learn more about them

  • @bruceyberry HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHx1.000.000.000.000.000

    ARE U FRIGGEN STUPID???????????????????????

  • Nice collection.. Let me know if you nedd any babies.. I have about a hundred or so right now.. red ears, yellow bellies, common snappers, eastern painters, orange cooters, stink pot musks, and eastern boxies.. I catch em all the time.. Im about to start a website.. maybe.. I have mine in 55 gs 75 gs and waterland tubs..

  • @mclem07 Its people like you as to why we cannot have nice things. Harvesting wild caught and selling them is illegal is most states. So go release them and gtfo of my internet.

  • lot of turtles

  • what kinda filter in the 55?

  • hiya, i know this is a really random question too ask but could you tell me how you sent up you musk (stinkpot) turtles tank please? it's just i'm planning on getting one :)

  • remove benito he will die

  • Can someone tell me how to easily clean a red eared slider huge tank pleae!!!

  • @TurtleRez get some shrimp or snails or pleco fish to clean the tank the turtle may eat them though and get a really good filter and if its till dirty remvoe like 30 percent of the water but the good filter should do it

  • @Jnick911 Hey Thx Todaii I Got 5 Ghost Shrimp... 2 Were Pregnant So Ill Have Like 50 More Shrimp... I Also Got 10 rosy red minnows... im getting a 70 gallon filter for a 40 gallon

  • i have allways wanted a missippi map but never got round to gettin 1, i currently have 3 yellow bellied sliders aprox 2inch each.. but my filter is crap. have been lookin at som fluval filters Any good or bad point i should look out for with them?

  • imagine your water bill

  • @timsbaker1 Thats a Aquaclear 55 I believe.

  • @CptWigglesVideos thats what those wood things are in the corners. theye are able to bask in those, floating logs usaly have artificial dies that can be toxic of give the water an ugky copperish tan.

  • wtf..this probably costs you so much in HYDRO bills.

  • i like turtles

  • damn dude wht the fuck are you going to do when you get tired of turtles

  • omg i want that foam turtle thing that says slow! whered you get it?

  • WHY IS YOUR BEARDIE ON THE F***ING FLOOR?!?!?

  • what all games do u hav for ur ps3 1:35

  • Why is there so many damn reptile sheesh thats amazing LOL

  • Clearly. If you look into the logistics of actually keeping them in brackish water, it is difficult. And for breeders it would be stupid to keep them and breed them into brackish water.

  • are you terripeans in fresh water?

  • So many pets. Awesome vid.

  • Over here.......Over here..........Over here.........Over here....That must be a pain in the ass to manage. I have one tree frog 2 clawed frogs 1 red eared slider 6 fish 1 cat and an army of tadpoles and I thought I did alot of stuff in the moring! Awesome video! Are all of these still alive?

  • Do you like Turtle's? and did you watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's as a young boy? LOL

  • Comment removed

  • badass video im gonna probaly gonna get a 120 gallon for my 3 almost fully grown red eared sliders ...And i have my mississippi map turtle in a 20 gallon

  • Awesome turtles! and Bearded Dragon! It really shows that you guys care for you pets. About a week ago I bought a 75 gallon tank for my Albino Oscar and Jack Dempsey. I wanna buy another tank and buy a turtle soon. You guys have inspired me! :D

  • My tank is a 40 breeder and i have a big filter on it and it does move the water around a good amound but there is always some extra food atthe bottom here or there

  • @slay3r172 I would look into some cory cats for clean up on the bottom

  • That's a real nice set up!

  • nice bearded and Turtle paradise!

  • How can you sleep through that?! after this video i needed to pee!

  • @99teddybear Haha, well first, no one sleeps in the basement. So we do not have to listen to it, also right now there is barely any noise. Sometimes the quiet hum of a filter or air pump

  • @perpetualwandrer oh...haha I never knew that was the basement so.. yeah ... :)

  • hey just wondering is it best to not use gravel? my tank always gets dirty and has this greenish color to it.

  • @slay3r172 It all depends on the clean up crew in the tank, and how much water movement and what type of filtration you have. What filter are you running on about how many gallons of water?

  • @perpetualwandrer im also going to an expo Feb 26th any turtles you should recommend that i should pick up while i'm there?

  • @slay3r172 What ever you feel like really. A species that you can care for. But pickings will be slim that early in the year.

  • How do you get the dirt out the bottom of the tank? is there a specail gadget you can buy?

  • @xvxvxvx There are water/gravel vacuums you can buy yes.

  • How much is your electric bill? >:D

  • HOW MUCH DID ALL OF THAT COST?

  • how do you have different genders in one tank? do they try to mate, or i guess do you let them? i'm not certain what gender they'll be, so if i have two different genders in one tank, will they try to mate? cause i'm not sure if i want the responsibility of turtle eggs and new baby turtles. and, if they do end up being different genders and try to mate, would the only way to stop that is put them in different tanks?

  • @icee67 Maturity generally comes around 3-5 years old. So mating wont occur until then. By then you are able to plan things out. If you do get eggs, and you have no nest box, chances are the eggs will be laid in tank and eaten. You have to incubate eggs to get hatchlings. But yes the only way to prevent mating is to have two males or two females or separate them.

  • are you in callege because you said roommate also all those turtles are alligal in where i live

  • @orthacanthus1234 Where do you live? And yes I am in college at the moment.

  • that does not look like a rio grande.

  • @Herp234 I can assure you, it is.

  • Cool stuff man!

  • lol someone is named Pancake and Waffle...

  • Very nice, where do you buy your tanks from? I would imagine all that to have been quite expensive eh?

  • @DarkashesX It has been a spendy habbit. I get alot from craigslist and some from stores

  • Save the water DUDE !:)) wow its so many , all that is for sale or something?

  • @Andreisiana1 ... nope that is my collection. I do not sell anything =P

  • @perpetualwandrer ...damn , its a big one:)) collection , keep up with the good work and i love all your turtles !

  • Comment removed

  • that must be a bitch to clean up. :)

  • Fair enough. True they all seem to have plenty of room!! You have spent some right money on tanks and stands!! All you need now is one huge mother sump tank!!

  • @walsallcrew Exactly, I wish I had sumps. Best thing i can do is canister filters

  • Why so many??

  • @walsallcrew Because I can, and I am able to house everything properly. Thats my reasoning lol

  • witch tank did u have for the stink pots???

  • @reviewerboy123 a 20 gallon long

  • Do an update on the diamond back terripan and the musk turtles thanks

  • @jkl1041 I will soon

  • do pink belly sideneck turtle bask and stuff just like RES?

  • @kickassbraydon If you looked into the species as a whole, you would see that sidenecks are basking turtles. So yes.

  • @kickassbraydon How every they are very different than a red ear slider

  • Hi, wonderin if you couldlet me know but what size do i need for 1 yellow bellied and 3 map terrapins for a tank that would last them their whole lives

  • @klalz03 YOu are sure you have map terrapins? I have only heard of 6 of these ever being produced. You will be looking into something along the size of a 125 gallon or all our at adult size.

  • @perpetualwandrer Oh maybe not, 1 is definetly a yellow bellied, the other 3 the seller is not sure what they are (Not got them myself yet so havent seen them) but thought they would be map terrapins as he said they all wouldnt grow over 8-10 inches?

  • @klalz03 Well you see a 'map terrapin' is a forced hybrid between a map turtle and a diamond back terrapin. They are highly expensive and harder to find than say another Hope Diamond. I will forward photos to you in a message. The size you stated is common to many species. However it is the typical size of most Diamond back terrapins, and some maps, however many female maps get a bit larger. Your yellow belly, if female can be rather large as well. That is why I stated a large tank.

  • u should be a herpeologist

  • Are you rich? all those tanks must've costed u a fortune and the electricity for the lamps and the filters isn't that expensive?

  • what type of diamondback terrapins do you have?

  • @redlizard10 A Concentric and a Northern

  • u frekain lucky

  • omg hella turtles i just have two juvenile stinkpots

    super sweet tanks

  • Awesome series of aquariums! I have 3 Red-Ear Sliders (1 Juve and 2 Babies). They're a lot of fun. How many turtles do you guys have total? How does your guys' power/water bill get effected with so many tanks, just out of curiosity? I'm jealous, though....I love animals and hope to someday have a shrine of tanks.

  • @ryceskate Um currently we have 19. The Water bill was nasty the first month due to fill ups and gravel/sand cleanings and such. IT now is not bad, I only refill the evaporated water weekly and it is not bad. Electric is not that bad. We try to keep the house at a stable 70 degrees, so that the heaters are not on constantly. Plus the heat from the lights helps keep temps stable. The bills were higher in the begining from complications, but they are very manageable now.

  • @ryceskate Good luck creating a shrine of tanks, it can be addicting but it is a lot of work.

  • very nice set up

    please do more vids

    i enjoy watching them

  • very nice set up.

    please post more vids

    i enjoy watching them

  • wow awesome setups please do more vids

  • I LOVE this room!

  • that is good! ARe you gonne move Buttercup and Bandito in a bigger tank?

  • So you are gonna have 2 empty 55g's? So when are you expecting the filter

  • if anything we will have an empty 30 and 37. filters should be sometime next week

  • That is nice of your mom WOW the res and paintes are gonna have a manison now...lol...So what are you gonna do with that tank move some of the other turtles in?

  • yup. everyone is getting a bigger place

  • do you have to keep the snapper separate from the other turtles? are the aggressive?

  • Yes the snapper is seperate. They are highly aggressive most of the time. Mine bites anything new in the tank. Fish, fake plants, and nearly hands.

  • Oh cool I bet its gonna look nice so what turtles are going to go in this tank the res and painted? And it came with a canister filter?

  • No it did not come with a canister filter, my mother is sending me one of hers. And yes the two RES and painteds will be going in there

  • Oh 3 weeks did the tank need some little TLC? LMAO I meant fill the tank up....lol sorry about that

  • ahhh! I have no idea how long it will take to fill it. Depends on my water flow from the shower. I would say an hour or a bit longer. but it is going to be awesome. Just picked up a huge piece of drift wood

  • nice turtles!! but y have not added any sand or rocks in your set ups?

  • Sand clogs filters and is a real mess to deal with. It can discolor in a few weeks and that means there are potential toxic gasses building up. Rocks are just ugly in my opinion

  • i had no problems with sand, its alright with some filters, ive got a fluval plus 2 that only clogs becouse it was on its side but know its on the right way up its fine.the best filters r external ones 4 sand, u should somethink the bottom of the tanks, they look doll, just put a thin layer in them or somethink.

  • Well looking "dull" is a matter of opinion. Fluval intank filters do not work well. I have used the New and Old versions and I hate both for turtles. A thin layer would actually create more of a mess than a thick layer because then it all gets kicked around more and lifted up more. All of the filters i use I have found sand traces in them while cleaning them. I also wont risk any more filters to sand I have had a number break. On all of my HOB and canisters I have found sand in them No more sand

  • lol ,kool

  • every 1 has there own experiences.

  • So it is red dried shrimp so its a treat that is cool I wasnt sure if those really worked or not...lol...or really you had to do some maintance on the tank so when you think its goona be up and running? And how did you feel it up?

  • ita going to be about 3 weeks or so. whatcha mean by how did i feel it up?

  • awesome so many tanks! l0l so who is moving into the 150 gallon? those tanks are huge l0l but cool you already got the filters ur going to run on it?

  • everyone is moving to a bigger tank, so the two adult sliders and painted.

  • cool wat filter u going to use to run it though?

  • Fluval 305, aquaclear 110, emperor 400

  • nice (but the fx5? l0l) cool cant wait to see it up and running

  • nah no Fx5. I dont have 300 bucks toï»
