There was a guy who used to live a few houses down from my parent's house. He had money in the DeLorean company many years ago. When the company went bust, all he got out of the deal was one of the cars. He drove it occasionally and it was always something to stare out when we saw him out driving. The man eventually passed away & his widow moved into a nursing home but to this day, we refer to their old house as the "DeLorean house" because that was where the car was housed for many years.
Hey tvkhaled, one of my neighbors used to own one, and yes, I saw a documentary of the 80's on The History Channel. Half of the episode was dedicated to the perfect ride that was everyone's dreams of that time period, the DMC De Lorean. The documentary also said the exact same thing that you did on the video info. Anyways, Great job on the vid, and it's a beautiful car too. :)
however did you know their making a 300 hp motor for it? I live in Bellevue WA and live 15minsaway formthe DMC Northwest I have met Toby Peterson the owner of the DMC NW and he told me about the up coming motor theyre working on so. I still want that car no matter what ppl say
Yes- I read once that they are in the process of injecting more power for the car, but don't know if they're going to proceed with that with the current economy crisis, but like you, if I had the chance, I would have one too!
The new Deloreans have a Stage 2 performance upgrade option with adds 70 more horsepower to the stock engine. I sat in a Delorean with a twin turbo and John Delorean's autograph on the dash. It had a custom exhaust on it which had a deep rumble to it. I asked the owner what kind of mileage do you get? He said I get 25 mpg. You can also use regular gas which makes it even more awesome! Long live the Stainless Wonder!
Ok so the engine is shit. Sucks for people who want to use it as a race car. But for the rest of us who just want one because they think its an awsome car it seems like a awsome idea.
Though somehow I would rather want an original one rather than a remake. Beggers can't be choosers.
You may be right at that- give me the car, whether an original or a remake, whether it does 130 mph or even 85 mph, I don't care, it just looks awesome! lol
Wow and thanks khaled, what a remember this car when I saw in the Back to the Future. What I most like about this car is its gull doors and the rear, I hope that if they return to remove him improve his headlights maybe the point that unless I liked the Delorean. Of course the song that is?. Thank you for your tribute to Delorean.
Thank you Sergio,I'm glad you like the DeLorean too! By the way, the car will not have an revisions, not to the design, not to the engine (no major changes), & not even to the interior- the new owners just want to make use of the extra spare parts they had.The music is by Joe Satriano ( it's called "Circles").
Siign me up. This has Always been the car I wanted. Well the Movie one anyway.!

Thanks ReventonF22! And yes, it is a very beautiful- & exotic looking car, even if it's performance wasn't good enough to it's amazing shape!

adventure91285 4 years ago
this car will send you back to the future
ringgoamanda 4 years ago
Yeah ! (although some say that when they didn't even change the dashboard at least, it sent us back to the 80's ! lol )
tvkhaled 4 years ago
Ha ha! It sure isn't ! lol
tvkhaled 4 years ago
Well, you got your work cut out for you! A nice idea, but you'd better save fast, & save hard for that!
tvkhaled 4 years ago
Well,if adding airbags would damage something or even effect originality or resale value, I'd rather not add them if I were in your shoes...
tvkhaled 4 years ago
Good luck & hold on to it, it sure will be a classic in the future...

You can get a Stage 2 engine upgrade for the Delorean. It has 197 hp and a 0-60 time of 6 seconds. I saw one with a twin turbo with 215 hp.
jammer96 4 years ago
Well, it does need an extra punch to go with these exotic looks, & if the factory did such upgradings, this would be even more cool...
