I did genetic testing for black - he's homozygous. For Sabino-1, he's heterozygous. He also has one copy of LP, the appaloosa pattern gene. I call him black sabino appaloosa. That's not to say that he has any Appaloosa breed in him. He's foundation bred Spanish Mustang, also known as Spanish Barb or Colonial Spanish Horse.
@winbrookhouse He turned out to be a great horse. Did you see the video of bridleless riding? That was just last year, before he went on to his new home.
