  • A medal predicter for London 2012 reckons she'll be second on beam, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on that?

  • i know that turn is difficult but i always laugh when she does it cause she flails her arms;p

  • what is the name of that song in the backround?;p

  • wow that music in the background is annoying

  • Continue to deduct my scores~

This proves that foreigners will not accept the truth~

  • just curious...how long is the life span of a balance beam before it gets replaced?

  • May be you thought that I speak incorrectly, but I will insist my viewpoint,I had not said that she displays unsatisfactory!!

  • this beam routine is very well composed and i think Lauren executed all the elements very well. Her punch front was wicked, all the way from a standing up through to a punch front..is there anyone else who does that skill?

  • yes, silver medalist Yulia Lozhecko, from Russia. i love that skill too by the way, reminds me a bit of the comaneci salto on bars

  • cool she tried to do the humphrey turn

  • how come martha karolyi doesnt enter the american gymnasts in the wcf? the last time i can remember usa being there was in 2004.

  • Yes, the switch ring is clearly not completed properly, and there's a few wobbles, but a 8.650 execution is a little tough.

Still, she won, and it caps off a few years of solid international performances on beam for Lauren.

I really like the first leap series - such beautifully stretched legs, and thanks to Riddler for the compliment on the Aussie line! Several Australian girls have really nice form across all four apparatus, so it's nice to see people noticing.

    :-)

  • yes, they have great form and execution for the most part, but Lauren has a lot of built in deductions

this is probably how the deductions went

    pause after switch leap -0.1

lack of sureness on turn -0.1

low chest landing on back pike -0.1; leg comes up to maintain balance -0.3

    wobble on front aerial -0.1

deep in the front tuck -0.1

precision on switch ring -0.1; wobble -0.1

low chest on double pike -0.3; hop -0.1

  • i liked the front walkover to 2 feet

  • She got 15.6 a couple of weeks ago at Massilia

  • Love Lauren's beam.

  • this is not real... 8.650?

    it was an amazing routine

    go Lauren! that was beautiful

you deserve more than a 8.650

  • apparently so, she had some form issues and a lot of balence checks, but she won! and i love her leo!

  • the aussies have a really beautiful, classic line. such gorgeous flexibility.

  • I like how she just jumped into a punch front, lol

Her switch ring was atrocious, but whatev.

  • Interesting mount. Probably one of her best routines ever.
