In my art we also have drills we do that aren't realistic. so we can work on technique.

Then we also do drills that are more real.

And then we also do free sparring.

Don't judge off youtube videos. They paint a small picture about martial arts system.

Uhm,I think that most of the techniques shown in this video are not practical and un-appliable.Most need a slow process...for example techs. from 1:41 to 2:23 are unappliablr and bad executed (still in my opinion, I'm not dissing anybody or any martial art style).They do not consider the reverse side of the fight,in which the opponent would not stay there,looking like a baby while you're sheating the sword or loosing it,like happens at 1:49...
