The young guys :-) who sang during their tour in Germany were Marshall Lytle, Jaco Buddin and Dick Richards (leaving his drums to Buddin)...
If you want to know more about the Bill Haley Saga and History, you can consult a lot pages in my skynetblog Tribute to The Beatles (!) because of the connection between Macca and a tune "Clarabella" recorded by The Jodimars.
Most of the articles are written in French and English speakings...So, enjoy!
On this video, only remain 2 of The Comets from 1954 to 1955 : Joey d'Ambrosio (sax) and Marshall Lytle [Tommy Page] (string bass). Dick Richards - drums - [Richard Boccelli]. The 3 last ones were THE JODIMARS. Johnny Grande died a few months ago aged 75. I don't know what became Francis Beecher and Jacko Buddin (from UK).
Exactly,Joseph Wallace Welzant from Baltimore (USA)- the whistlin' piano man. The only tune I'm still holding is to me Joey's better one : The whistlin' man's boogie (Bat records, 1959).
The Original Comets are great. The guitarist is replacing Franny Beecher who retired from the road this year. I'm not sure why the replacement guitarist is playing a Fender Strat solid body guitar instead of a hollowbody Gibson though, just doesn't look right or good or make sense. Why Andy the "second" guitarist when they were touring in 2006 is not their guitarist I don't know.
marshall lytle on bass ,pretty good singer for a man in his 70s great bass player ,dick richards on drums he is 80old great drummer / i wonder what the rock stars of today will been doing when there that age
Bill haley is the undisputed king of r'n'r! Not only with RATC but also with with an unexpected #1 in Mexico (Florida Twist extracted from the album TWIST which was #1 as well and the most selling 45 records/LP in that country...

Is there anybody (Mexican?) who knows more about the mariachis which accompanied Bill during his exile in Mexico from 1961 to 1966?
As for me, there were some of THE VARGAS (from Tecalitlán, Jalisco) as well as Pepe Villa (d.1986) from San Fernando.
Anyway, the Mexican period is much complicated
