Actually, you can say Sarah has a better voice, there is no comparison, you would have to not have any kind of ear for music to say Avril is as good or better. Avril is cute and I like her songs though....

You can't say one is better than the other. They have completely different qualities to their voices. Different people like different sounds.

I personally find sarah's quality better though =)

I must agree with those who question Avril's voice on this one. Her singing is phenomenal, but I'm not sure if her voice suits this song. She seems to put too much forte on measures that are obviously written piano (soft). As well she adds this hold to the er's of matter, and it makes it sound incredibly cheap. This song is meant to be sung soulfully, and injecting those inflections does not help it sound better. To me, it sounds worse. Thanks for posting this though!

Nope. Listen to way both sing "innocence". (Besides Avril is not innocent at all ...that's what makes her cool! Listen to Sarah at 1:42 and 1:51 and trill afterward, and then long-notes from 2:50 through 3:02 and the crowd responds too.
