The only weapon capable of doing such damage would be something near a .50 cal.

A headshot with a regular Sniper Rifle like an M24 would make a small hole in front of the head and a bit bigger hole at the back, the blood would spurt from the back of the head also.

Hold on I got the @SLX to show up in the expansions but when I shoot someone there's still no gore.

I've tried to get the mod working but I've had no luck. I put the @SLX folder in my ARMA 2 OA directory but it won't show up in the expansions menu in-game. Any help?

@ExoSteampunk Get the latest updated version on Armaholic, and any questions then use the forum thread on the download page. look for COSLX for Arma2CO.

@ExoSteampunk Wont work for standalone OA, you need Arma2 for SLX to work as it was origianlly bult for Arma2. plus I had recently updated SOlu's mod get the new version for Arma2CO called COSLX, any questions use the forum thread on the download page on Armaholic.

@tokishreds no, you need Arma2, install OA into Arma2 and you will get Arma2CO, then it will work but best get the latest SLX version out as it has been reworked and updated by me ;)

@rud100le to be honest there isn't really any system to date that can handle arma 2 maxed with more than a hundred AI without bad lag. I have 3x gtx 580 lightning edition cards overclocked and an i7-2600k oc'd to 5ghz w/ 16 gb of ram still lags and that's about the fastest gaming system money can buy

This mod is good! The freezing comes from aircraft sounds i think or something like that.  Its definately a sound conflict though somewhere, happens to me all the time.

My only complaints about SLX is the unatural gore and instability. For me, it freezes and I dont even have any other mod. If you shoot a guy at close range with a barrett or high cal rifle, his boddy will be split realistically but will be a piece of charcoal. Thats not realism, also shooting someone in the head with a 9mm shouldnt have the guys head explode.

@24Rorschach To avoid the game freeze, try deleting this file "@SLX / addons / slx_vehicleeffects.pbo". That has helped others as well, including me. Also remember that this mod is highly customizable, you can remove things that you don't like; check the readme for more info.

Would anyone happen to know why my game is freezing when I run SLX mod with ACE2? It said it was fully compatible but every time I go to play a SP mission it locks up on me after a few mins in game. I have everything installed where it should be and my command line is "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2OA.exe" -nosplash -mod=@cba;@SLX;@ace;@acex;@vop­sound2.2 I have also tried to load SLX after ACE with no luck. If anyone see's this and knows please reply.

@360viper117 Well I tried to run it standalone myself and found out that it does indeed crash by itself on mine as well. I mostly wanted it for the wounding system so I may try what you said and see if it works for me. Thanks for your reply man.

@Master7770 try to disable vehicle effects pbo in the @SLX folder and aswell as netcode.pbo in the SLX folder. tht is probably the reason for freezing when a vehicle blows up.

@Master7770 Sorry for the very late reply but SLX is not compatible with ACE, dont know why Solus put that in there, but I took his mod after extensive research and testing recompiled the mod, removed the bugs that crash your game, and make it freeze, as well as other stuff, theres a new updated version on Armaholic COSLX, any questions then use the forum thread on the download page.

@MrKiller123975 Theres no autohealing in this game, someone has to heal treat your injuries, your speed and aim decreases and also you can bleed to death/unconsious
