It's a shame, in a weird way, that bad films are honored whereas great films are shelved and forgotten. Ask any ten college students which movie is better, "Manos the Hands of Fate" or "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff?" I'm sure most would say Manos because the other movie is too old (even though they both came out in 1966)
Well, who gets to decide whether a film is good or bad? Should it be critics or should it be each individual deciding whether or not they like a film based on their own tastes? Just saying...
@innsaane - your operating under the mistaken notion that ten College students have heard of Manos. Mst3k was a cult thing. it didn't even bring Comedy Central or Sci-Fi Channel brand recognition. I go to College-and cult show wise over half those kids don't even know Star Trek the next generation. -Now at a film school if you asked you could find 10 people, but they would be such pretentious douche nozzles they would never say "Manos" was better-and they ALL would know about "Who's afraid"
