  • WOW!!! this bullshit, why is `julian on a side stage entertaining to a small portion whilst they are rigging the stage from some other act -- HE SHOULD BE THE MAIN STAGE!!!!!! This man deserves more than he gets!!! If you disagree, listen to some of his work and then comment. He is an absolute genius, and doesnt get the credit he deserves, whether he rides on his fathers name or not, he has his own style but retains his fathers sound

  • Sounds juuuuuuuust like his dad,John, even got his dad's 'asian' looks:) Sean on the other hand has a totally different voice.

  • GOOD SONG WELL SUNG LAD !

  • No, Julian doesn't want to resemble his father in any way, but i guess, he can't help it ~

  • @RozarioLezter He wasn't married, but yes, he was wearing one. He was engaged for quite a while, but he's single again.

  • 7 people don't wanna know either...

  • Is he wearing a wedding ring????

  • Great! thanks

  • amo este tema ...es muy lindo .....

  • Now on my facebook to share with my friends

  • LOVE IT, thanks!

  • I have this posted on my Facebook :)

  • Get your $ for watching this video and make more money (SEE VIDEO DESCRIPTION ABOVE). THANKS!

  • What year was this? I love his music!

  • @susanmun218 it's from the album "Photograph Smile" in 1998. there's also a funny music video he made with this song then.

  • He's perfect! I am HUUUGE fan of his work, ever since I was a kid...

  • He's perfect!

  • up the iron

  • Why can't it be posted on FB?

  • Julian always had natural talent.....little brother Sean has none. Sean should just spend his inheritance and shut up.

  • He blows Sean away. This is a great song. I see some resemblence to the Beatles but not a whole lot. This is hus song and his alone.

  • Is that the great Manny Elias from Tears for Fears on the drums?

  • What year was this?

  • @joewarhurst13, the Prince's Trust Party In The Park, Hyde Park, 1998.

  • God, I love this!!

  • Why doesn't he do more stuff? he is very good for his own sake. Come on Julian!!!!

  • Anyone know where I can buy an mp3 of this song?

  • It seems fine to me.

  • JULIAN>SEAN

  • No this is his own song which I think he is a better musician then his dad. Don't get me wrong I loved john, But he was too clouded with yoko on his mind to make a good single. That is why Paul kicked his ass in #1 hits for so many years. While john let's face it, We loved him for he was john But let's face it he was just sitting watching the wheels.

  • Awesome, Go Jules Go!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If I was blind and if I didn't know that this was Julian, I would be sure it was John

  • are all those people there to see him?

  • scotfreak , if you note the description, it was the Princes Trust Concert (Party in the Park, 1998), so they were there to see him, plus a dozen or so other performers.

  • Hey, what IS up with Youtube?!?? It said "scotfreak, if you note the description" when I posted it ~ what did you do with my "script" ?? (Stop, you thief!)

  • They are taking out the word s*c*r*i*p*t ~ why??

  • oh my fukin god, john lennon came out of his grave!!!!!!!

  • This song kinda shakes me outta my own personal prison of solitude.

  • What year was this concert? He looks really well!

  • Comment removed

  • Where did you get the footage from?

  • It's cute at the beginning "my legs are shaking big time." haha I don't think I'd be able to even stand in front of such a huge crowd!!

  • Love the song and Julians voice and how much he sounds like John. Thanks for this great clip of this concert here on YouTube of this amazing man and his talent.

  • Perfect! I love you, my handsome Jules!

  • my fav ... i love his song Because because i love you george g...hey its the 8the oya is having a ball with her gg whos mine too? i have a feeling ...in an island somewhere in asia..

  • There are some live performances by Julian on here. Some are from '86 in Japan. I just found a performance of Stand By Me, with the guy from Tears For Fears. Very nice rendition, although the guy almost drowns Julian out at times.

  • Can you get ahold of more live Julian?!This just wets my apetite for more!

  • Another great video here on Youtube Is Julian Lennon singing Saltwater in Concert (spoiler ~ looks like someone did it on their cell phone :-)

  • Julian just performed live on "The Early Show". It just aired today and cbs/early show's website has the performance posted on thier site. Check it out!!

  • this reminds me of the Beatles sound

  • He's really matured, in the 80's he seemed insecure but living in his Dad's shadow didn't help, rarely smiled, seems happy, content. He even looks better, maybe a little weather worned but it suits him.

  • One of Julian's best, easily as good as "Nobody Told Me" or "Starting Over" But not in the class of "Imagine" or #9Dream". But still very Beatleish or Lennonish.

  • Julian :)

  • ill pay ya

  • So much better than Sean Lennon

  • @jlbengry23 I think Friendly Fire it's an awesome disc.

  • @jlbengry23 100% AGREED!!!!!

  • @jlbengry23 they just defferent

  • @RomanZajats yea i was feeling stupid when i said that

  • @jlbengry23 Exactly! So much better than Sean.

  • @jlbengry23 right on

  • @jlbengry23 i think that they are differents...i like them both

  • Amazing....still

  • Please change it for upload, even a 24 hr window?

  • you totally rock Julian ;-)) woot

  • It is a crime and a sin that this cant be posted to facebbok. This is stunning footage of him sounding like his dad live, and more people need to see it!

  • @binoculord you can now post this video on facebook!

  • What year is this? He looks great.

  • The Princes Trust party, 1998.

  • Unforntunatly Julian is always gonna get compared to and live in his father's shadow within the media and general public, that's just the way it is which he is all too familiar with, but that aside if you loved his father's solo work then you cannot but love Julian's efforts, I think he's great.

  • Arf ;-)))

  • Comment removed

  • no es un exito de John, es un tema de Julian.

  • damn thats alot of people, no wonder Julians legs are shaking big time. good song Julian :) youd make your father very proud :) keep it up

  • great song thank you to cloefoe for the send sj.

  • Julian, Mr Monkey loves you! Bring on Everything Changes...

  • Anybody know when this was done?

  • From the Princes' Trust party in the park, 1998

  • He sounds and looks a lot like his legendary father.

  • I Don't wanna Know is very special for me . Is funny to see you J in some moments in the video. Especially one favorite part in which you was dressed like a policeman

  • Nice song i always liked Julian.

    Is he using a Maton???

  • Is it me or does this sound like an early Beatles song?

  • Yes, he wrote it that way on purpose :-)

  • That explains it. Thanks! :>)

  • Hey what,s with the downer I admit my mistake before any downers haha;-)))

  • Arf;-))))

  • My bad, it is Julians song, he fooled me completly haha.

  • Yeah, that's funny, "Videos for the Inattentive" should be a clue, LOL, :-)

  • ;-))

  • Me too.

  • because it is lol

  • you get away with it haha;-)

  • It is a Beatles song -)

  • @RDG484 add me up on facebook. im connected there to Julian. the URL address is up there on the video description! :)

  • my thoughts too

  • @RDG484 i do believe that was the intention when writing this song.

  • @RDG484 It's supposed to. When it came out he addressed the fact he wanted to make a 'Beatles' song and get people off his back about it. :-)

  • it is.. :) look in the relateds...

  • @RDG484 Julian intentionally wrote it to sound like a Beatles song since critics were always after him about it. The promo video he did of this is a spoof making fun of the Beatles kinda, but in a funny nice way

  • @RDG484 this is off of the Photograph Smile album. If you'll look here on YouTube, you'll see the original video. Very hilarious......

  • i love this song been stuck in ma head for days

  • He resembles his mum Cynthia too, especially as he gets older.

  • He looks a lot like Alain Bashung :)

And he sounds just like his father.

  • sounds like john cute =)),, Julian need black glasses, and you got john back =)

  • You and the band sound fantastic Julian! Remember the sunshine into your eyes ♪

  • He is good.

  • Julian ... Please do one song with Sir Paul .. would knock us all out ! Thank u from Buff !

  • J♥Lian!

  • Looks like John Lennon circa 1975 when he performed Slipping and Sliding and Imagine./

  • Did you all know that is Manny Elias on drums? Manny was in Tears For Fears for their first two albums, and his grooving played a huge part in their success. Manny is one of the most underrated drummers ever!

  • what year was this?

hehe, he's great, who cares if he's john's son, he's still awesome

    i like john too, though : )

  • From The Prince's Trust "Party In The Park" Concert, in Hyde Park, London, 1998.

  • this is cool!!!

  • Nope. You are absolutely wrong. This is an original Julian Lennon composition. It is his own tribute to the Fab Four, hence the Beatlesleque flavor. But this is certainly not a cover of some Beatles tunes.

  • After watching the video again "the Beatles", turn out to be a knock off band, and a very good one. They fooled me and I was there during the 60's should have known better. What else should I be?All Apologies!!!!!

  • Juilian Lennon, WOW! You are really gifted songwriter.

  • I love this song and the original recording by Julian is excellent. This would have stood up as a viable Beatles song in the mid-sixties. I think it would be something if Julian tried to do more in this vein.

  • his high and low notes definetly sounds like John's :)

  • I was lucky enough to see Julian sing this song at the House of Blues here in Las Vegas back in 99 it was such a great show, even got to shake his hand and say hello!

  • Jude rock's, top talent. A good chip off the old block!! Love to see him sing some of Johns song's!!!

  • Beautiful simple song, just found out about it!

  • julian the beautiful seed, love him bless you,

  • Julian rocks the house!

  • Talk about "In his own write", he sounds Fu..... AMAZING!!

What a talent. It's good to see that he still had his own personal love for music.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Jules is AWESOME!

  • THANX!!

  • Who is the gal that steps up to the microphone after Julians band?

  • Natalie Imbruglia ??

  • Yes, I'm quite sure you're right. It is Natalie Imbruglia.

  • Yes it is juliannisaakfan.I thought I recognized her ."Torn" I loved that song when it came out.

  • I love this song, and the whole album

  • Lovely tune, and very beatle style. Nice

  • Whops -in my post, I meant to say that IT DOES sound just like a Beatle song. Does anyone know what year this concert was? Where was he?

  • From The Prince's Trust Party In The Park - Live Concert - Hyde Park London 1998 or 1999.

  • How in the world did I miss this era of him? I'm 44 - must have been too busy raising my kids.

  • He released this CD, "Photograph Smile", thru his own label, Music From Another Room, in '98/'99, so he didn't have a big corporation plugging his his music on MTV & Vh1 all the time like when he was with Atlantic. I remember seeing 2 videos from this era on Vh1 when he 1st released this CD, tho. He had fought to get out of his contract with Altantic in '95 because he was tired of the BS. He actually stopped writing music altogether, which was really sad. I'm glad he started writing again. :)

  • I love this song! I keep listening to it and I need to go to bed. Doesn't sound like a Beatle song? WOW!

  • Quote from Julian about this song~"This is probably the song that a lot of Beatles fans have been waiting for me to do. People are always asking when am I gonna do something more towards the Beatles style & so I thought, why not? In a sense it's a homage, but the sentiment & lyrics are serious. It actually came about from walking around in France & there was a shop with an English newspaper. I thought, 'Oh get the paper, catch up on the rest of the world,' & then I thought,'I don't wanna know."

  • Julian - sexier than your Dad - by far! You are aging very nicely, and I am right there with you, although 1 year younger. It seems like just yesterday we were 1st listening to you in the 80's.

  • Julian is awesome

  • I did not have sexual relations with that woman

  • good song.

  • Awesome I love it

  • hey wooooooooow!

  • luv ya jules ^_^

  • True... I'm not sure why so many people gave you thumbs down. Probably because it's an obvious thing to say... But hey, a lot of people make obvious posts all the time. Here's a thumbs up for you! :)

  • Thanks Darbyjack :)

  • The Prince's Trust Party In Hyde Park - 1998

  • thanks 4 helping

  • what year is this?.....

  • this is a very good song , but and i mean but it could be better arranged, its too popy and i think a more of a haunting sound would have been terrific

  • He deliberately wrote this one to sound Beatlesque, that's why it sounds like it does.

  • Way to go Jules!

Don't look back, we're with you!

  • julians great. :]

even though john was a pretty bad father to him, im glad that didnt stop julian from having a music career. hes definitely got talent.

and i cant get over how much he has his dads face.. eyes & nose. <3

  • wow...hes hot!!!!!!!

  • Does he say 'ur legs r shaking, big time.' p.s. i don't think we should judge john cuz we were never in his position. just let him rest in peace.

  • Sounds like he says 'my legs are shaking, Big Time!'

  • I love Julian, and I love this video.

    One of my favorite songs.

    Thanks for posting.

  • The second guitarist is HOT!!!

  • Heres a performance i'd like to see.paul, ringo, julian and dhani
