Good bump technique. There are MUCH better ways to load & charge the rifle.
LOADING THE WEAPON: Don't slap the magazine. "Push-in-then-Pull-out" on the mag. This insures it is captured by the magazine catch. You can slap it all day, but if you don't pull to check, eventually your mag will fall out of the rifle because it failed to seat. All you have to remember is PUSH-PULL!
CHARGING THE WEAPON: ALWAYS charge the weapon with your weak hand, not your strong hand.
@Dshytz being that it is an ar15, it is most likely a gas system, ar's take pride in their pistonless operation which reduces recoil, with a single stage trigger

I agree with the poster and will add, that those .223 rounds will come apart a microsecond after they hit the water. High velocity small bullets impacting water at any angle and they have little chance of staying intact.
.308, .50 BMG, they all fragment into bits when shot at close range into water.
Mythbusters proved it in a swimming pool that only subsonic rounds have a chance of remaining intact when shot into water.
The bullets richochet off water when the angle of impact is low. You can bump fire but you have no business shooting until you learn something about safety and where bullets will travel. You are really stupid.

It may look so on the video but i wasnt shooting parallel to the water to wear they would skip and i promise you, none of them ricocheted. I also had a backstop and a forest behind that. So before you go and call people stupid, pay attention to detail... asshole.

I also aimed closer to the bank to avoid ricochets so I didnt fire parallel with the water. Dont worry, I made sure of where I was shooting was going to be safe. Supersonic rounds will break up in the first couple inches of water, the .223 included. I'm not saying its impossible, and I'm not about to fire into water... Just saying. The hollywood 7.62 assault rifle into water isn't going to kill the person 5 feet under...
@elesjuan Yeah, Mythbusters did this myth about piercing objects underwater. I think they tried a .50 cal and said you would still be safe if you were 3 feet underwater.

@xBANTAAxDIP yes, everything is stock. My buddy has a bushmaster and it seems a little harder for him to bump fire on it as well. And also i noticed that my Stag shoots faster than his Bushy. You just have to get use to your rifle and get the feel of it. Once you find that sweet spot, you can blast off all 30 rounds.
@kunai86 thanks man. Its a NcStar Mark III Tactical 3X-9X with P4 sniper reticle. It also has a built in laser sight. Its a pretty decent scope but really not the best. I have shot a couple deer in the head with it at 100-150 yards so to say the least, it does its job.
This was a great video, I will have to try that out with my stuff. The operation of this method is deffinitely not the same as a full auto gun with a full auto sear. This method requires the kick from the gun to reset the trigger, it is kind of like a controlled "limp wristing". Or maybe that is exactly what it is.
No matter what it is I can deffinitely see that I will be buying alot more ammo as I practice this!

Can you Consistently bump fire? Every now and then i can get a full 30 off...But usually its bursts or dented primers and then i have to extract the round and try again....Whats my problem? or is that how it goes? Technique? ---Colt LE6940
@90W7 The same thing happens to me ALOT! Really you just need some better quality ammo. Thats what fixed my problem although it put a bigger hole in my wallet. Most of the russian ammo i put through it doesnt really like full auto, but i put some federal, monarch, and PMC through it and it seemed to like it a tad bit more. But your technique would help alot. You just got to practice to find that sweet spot to keep you finger at while its shooting and it will go all day long.
