@Ekornet542 I liked your comment too. It made me laugh. And yes, Grieg too had a terrific sense of humor - a neat appreciation for the ridiculous - almost surely would have been a fan of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Grieg composed this song (1865, to words by Hans Christian Andersen) for Nina Hagerup, a cousin and wonderful soprano singer, who would become his wife for 40 years until his death in 1907. The most beautiful version I've ever heard of the original song (Jeg Elsker Dig) is sung by Karl-Magnus Fredriksson here on YouTube (I've favorited it on my channel page.).
@0azeka0 What do you aspect us to say now? Wow! you must be a musical genius! You're awesome man you listen to good music and you're so young! I adore you!! ...asshole...
@geooool if i imagine beautiful things or people who i love, which is actually the same, i start getting sad... and that's probably not, what grieg intented
@Monstexitus well if the people u love and beautiful things make u sad then that's a problem for you. and just to remind u the piece is called "I love you" which Grieg dedicated to his wife like many other songs. he might have been sad or happy but it doesn't really matter. the music is still beautiful.
Wow! This is actually a Grieg piece that I haven't heard, and I'm a huge Grieg fan! Beautiful as always though. My favorite Grieg piece is "Solveig's Song". Thanks for uploading
@beethovenboy Wow to you and all people who thumbed you up. Who the hell says Grieg is an underrated composer? His music is from the 19th century and anyone who respects music has at least heard of him today. You don't deserve to comment on real music.

Orchestral version of "Melodies of the Heart by H.C. Andersen, Op. 5 No.3: I Love but Thee"
'Thou art my joy, the radiance of my being,
o my beloved, thou my ecstasy.
I cherish thee, my every passion freeing,
I Love but Thee, I Love but Thee,
I Love but Thee, now and eternally,
I Love but Thee, now and eternally.'
