  • Thank you, your video was really engaging. I'm so motivated to try kneading now. I just got a breadmaker cos I wanted homemade bread so bad, but didn't know how to do it. I swore to myself to move to a more natural process by next year. Amazingly, I came by your video & you said the same thing!

  • What kind of yeast you use?

  • @raisa1821 I'm using instant yeast, not quick rising.

  • I've never made bread before and am interested in following this recipe What type of yeast are you using?

  • @RJones358 I'm using instant yeast, not quick rising.

  • can i use this bread to make pizza?

  • @GGGG761 well you could but i wouldn't recommend it. This recipe is kinda on the sweet side. I'd recommend replacing honey with salt and but some oregano also for pizza. Like 2-3 good pinches of dried oregano per quarter kilo of flour and half a teaspoon of salt should do it.

  • @GGGG761 You could if you like a light bready crust. But for a typical pizza crust check out our pizza video.

  • It takes more than 3 cups of flour. 5 or closer to 6 is more accurate.

  • I have always made bread with 1 rise only; but this time I punched down and will see what the difference in texture and taste will be. The only oil I use is applied to the pan, have had no separation problems.

I have also those extruded aluminum bread pans but prefer the old Ekoloy folded sheet metal pan; they cook better for me and also are a bit bigger.

  • I enjoy your videos and love fresh homemade bread. Just wondering why you use vegetable oil, it's almost all made from genetically modified soy, I use olive oil, peanut oil, safflower oil and other healthy oils.

  • @motoclown I use olive oil as much as I can, some times it's just to expensive here.

  • We make homemade bread too. We don't buy store bread anymore :) I love baking bread so much! Thanks for your video!

  • I can't thank you enough for your white bread video!!!! My family has now decided that we will no longer buy store made and they will now only eat this one!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!! I will be learning many things from you!

  • @HomesteadAcres nanny always used to put three balls of dough in each breadpan ... thanks for the video ... : )

  • Thank you for sharing your recipe. The bread is the best I have ever made.

I have a problem with the yeast, I can still smell it when the bread is baked, I would be grateful for any advice from you or other subscribers.

  • Thanks so much for posting this very helpful vid. I made bread for the first time and it was delicious thanks to you. Just needed those details for it all to come together.

  • More bread recipes please!! Great videos

  • Mmmm, nothing in the world compares to the smell and taste of fresh bread out of the oven, lots of melted butter.. YUM! ; ) Do you think i could cut the whole ball of dough in 1/2 and do them like long oval/flat bread? On like, a cookies sheet..or wood oven style.. also do you guys have any recipes for sourdough bread or good oatmeal cookies? : D

  • @theGHETTOMAN1 Yup you sure could! Just remember you'll have to adjust the cooking time, depending on how thick the bread is. You could also make it into rolls or burger buns. I'll try to do some more recipe vids soon!

  • I was going to suggest that you build a hoophouse/ greenhouse to extend your growing season but it looks like you may have a greenhouse?. You can build a 12X20 footer on a weekend for 150 to 200 dollars and they work great. Check out my channel and see how I build mine. Oh... Don't build it too close to a tree. My last 2 videos will show you why!! Looking to see more from you! Love the channel. Subscribe if you like!

  • After trying the bread, I love the taste! Only, I would use olive oil for all of the oiling steps if possible, As I prefer the taste better. Thanks again!

  • Bread is in the oven AND SMELLS GREAT! I used sugar, and mixed about 1/2 whole wheat and unbleached flour. everything had risen well in each step, and I used one packet of fleishmans rapid rise yeast. I also put the dough near my woodstove to keep warm during the "rising" steps. I was able to prepare other things as I waited for the dough to rise. THANKS! GREAT COOKING PROJECT FOR A COLD, RAINY DAY!

  • MMMMmmmm ! Fresh bread...is there anything in life that smells better?? ; D Yum! I've been on a tea biscuit kick and what I do when they're done is lightly mist them on top with a spray bottle, and seal them in large tupperware containers imediately. They stay SO soft n fresh that its amazing. : D For extra flavor I sometimes add some liquid smoke to the water I mist the bread/biscuits with... mmmm ; ) *thumbs up*

  • I ended up with a brick that didn't rise at all lol. Practice makes perfect!

  • @misslilly1989 Im making bread right now, and the dough is too hard. This is the third time I make homemade bread and it looks like a brick. The first time I ever made one though, it was amazing! You'd think I'd get better at it not worse!

    Good luck though. :)

  • is this bread good for sandwiches?

  • hello ,happy new year ,great job

  • Measure oil, then use the cup to measure honey. The honey slips right out. Then measure water to help rinse the cup.

  • I just did this recipe with whole wheat flour adding vital wheat glutten.

I pulled them right out and they wouldn't knock out of the bread pans...eventually the first loaf broke leaving a small bit in the bottom. No biggy now I know that the recipe is as tasty as it is easy. The other one was even more mangled.

Do you let your loaves cool any in the pans before trying to knock them out and put them on the cooling rack?

  • Is this any cheaper?

  • Thanks for the video. I love making bread. So many things you can do with bread. I like to use glass pans, but have yet to find an extra long loaf pan.

  • Cool video!!

I have been making bread for a little while now and I don't use milk or oil in it and it comes it pretty good.

I usually use 1/2 white and 1/2 brown and then add interesting things like quinoa, barley, flax, cannabis, chia, sunflower ect ect...either in seed or ground up flour form.

I shape my own loaves, proof them for 20-30 mins and bake them at 450F.

Everyone around me is freaking out how good the breads comes out.

Even had a few people tell me they would buy it from me lol

  • where's your warm place to rise? We keep our house a fairly consistent 68-70 degrees which is wonderful for us but maybe not as great for bread making.

  • awesome!!! thanks so much!! much thanks from Vancouver BC

    Vaughn!

  • thanks so much for making this video! i have made my own bread before but you've made it look so easy. I'm completely motivated to try this out.

  • You know..while I love all of your videos for their content, and I have watched them all, I have to say the best part of the cooking videos, is hearing all the sweet little voices in the background. Happy and playing, content and from what can be told, loved. Very wonderful.

  • What is the best way to store fresh loves like these? How long do they last?

  • Thank you! I'm really enjoying your videos.:)

  • very cool! thanks for taking the time to make this vid...PEACE

  • I love hot bread! My mother has alwsys told me never to eat it because it causes stomach aches have you ever heard this?

  • Thanks for posting this. I much appreciate the effort. Very enjoyable.

  • *****

  • What lovely loaves of bread.

  • Great video! This is one recipe I will try! Thanks so much.

  • @cosnowmomma I don't know if it would take longer or not. I'll ask a friend who lives in the mountains if it takes her longer. Will let you know soon. :-)

  • Thumbs up! You are the best!

  • Thx for the vid. I have 2 questions. What temp do you set the oven at, and can you freeze the dough?

  • @NewAmericanOrder 350 F and yes you can freeze dough. Seems to work best if you freeze it after you've formed into loaves. You could place the loafs into a ziplock bag and then into the pans. Put them in the freezer, when frozen take out, wrap with plastic wrap then place back inside the ziplocks. When you want to use them take out and let rise in the pans. Will take longer to rise but does work.

  • I am glad that you explained why you are doing thing the way you are, that way I can add and subtract thing as I like. thanks

  • Awesome video. Could you do a video on how to capture wild yeast?

  • Thank you for posting. i'm new to bread making and this video has been most helpful

  • I make bread every few days (just two people in the house eating it), but it was relaxing just watching you knead your dough! Lol!
