Yes you can use fleece. Terry cloth can be found inexpensively in a variety of colors at many home good stores. Terry cloth is what bath towels are made from. As to cost I would say that you can probably find the terry cloth a little cheaper than the fleece. The cost factor will be determined by the quality of the cloth you buy. but in general you should be able to find the towels more cheaply than the fleece.

Yes, I am using terry cloth. It's from some towels I bought from Walmart.
