  • i'd love one of those gakken synths, but would hate to pay that kind of shipping to get it to the states! they are pretty cool though.

i have been thinking of building a stylophone into a box with my korg monotron, and making them modular, spreading out the control layout, as well as add REAL keys to the stylophone! i would love to be able to control the monotron with a real keyboard, but not sure how to do that. any ideas?

  • @sevenismagicman As long as the Monotron has non-touch-dynamic keys (idk if it has, though..) it's simple: unscrew Monotron, solder any connector (female) with enough pins to hold all keys+mass(es) to their pcb-connections, attach to device box.

Now go get a cheap childs toy with as many keys as you need (1 octave i guess?!). Unscrew that toy, rip out basically all electronics but the buttons/switches attached to the keys. Solder connector (male) fitting the monotron's pinout.

    Attach - go!

  • with this gakken mini kit mabobber could i plug it into my current keyboard and have analogue affects to it?

  • Love the box they're in, what is it? Sending this through some effects & an amp would be a cool viddy.

  • sweet super mini synth

  • Did you modify the sx-150 ?

Mine just won't play music through it!

  • かっこいい

  • Can you tell me what that is you have your Stylophne playing through? and where can I buy one?

    Thank's.

  • That's a Gakken sx-150. It's a mini synthesizer kit from Japan, it's pre-soldered and comes with a nifty magazine. Look it up on Ebay, they usually have a couple.
