20 or so years ago i remember getting to creator and he would kick my fuckin ass every time...it took me a while 2 beat him. this guy kils him in 1 hit with the saw-i feel like a retard

After him and Arsenal, Xagor was kind of a let-down. Even still, I'd love a remake with a harder version of the Creator... just to hear that battle theme for longer.

The Glass Sword was another broken (ZING!) weapon. Broke every time you used it... except wait... it didn't break...

Actually the SAW's chance for kill is the inverse of your chance to hit your target.

It's a 100% hit on CREATOR and a near-zero chance to hit GOBLINs and LIZARDs.

The Creator is a pushover even if you don't cheat. If you are strong enough to kill Ashura then you are strong enough for him.

The Creator, in my opinion is one of, if not the best characters in any Final Fantasy game. Other than the fact that he is killed with a single saw, he is really tough if you don't cheat to beat him. Also, the fact that he led you into playing a game for his amusement is just awesome. This might be one of the most underrated games made considering the era it was released.

I read that article too. It is a pretty cool theme actually. I don't know what it is, it might just be nostalgia, but I LOVE the music from this game. For some reason it just really strikes a cord with me. Especially the ending medley.

I think I read somewhere that Uematsu only used something like three notes for this whole soundtrack.

1 hit with a saw? WTF - never realized Creator could be disposed of in an instant that way. After beating it 5 or more times back in the early 90's, I made it through the entire game with only one Human male character. Sure, I ran away from every lamia in the tower but I did beat the game with one character and more restarts than I could keep track of.

Ah I remember when I beat this game...although my battle with Creator took a LOT longer.:\ I used the Excaliber for myself and I gave the female warrior the Glass Sword. I actually found the boss before creator a lot harder...probably because my gear wasn't at its best during that fight.

Heh, yeah, that's kind of how it turns out in the game. There's very little healing to be done...seems all you really need to do is beat the tar out of him till he dies, and hope he doesn't get you first.

I remember I had a file where I could defeat him as a matter of pattern. That is to say...it would always proceed the same way, and I would always be able to counter him properly, and defeating him was a breeze.
