@chrisdivinechaos: What do you think, except of the black pups, the Malmsteen's guitars are almost identical to Blackmore's, and Malmsteen plays/played at least 10 Blackmore songs! ;-) By the way, Blackmore had scalloped frets since he switched to Strats, and that's 15 years before this video!

why are you keep posting this comment on every video.btw i heard a unsigned band called blue riverfall from us or uk.the guitarist was a master and the drummer is the next best drummer in the world.this band will sure blow stupid purtag away
by the way ritchie kicks them ass anyway...i don't know how many of you have seen it, but the wring that neck footage 1969 shows some hyperspeed sweep picking of ritchie (1969!!)
In my opinion, ritchie blackmore is the best, but most people today only care about what's the most hardcore. personally, I think it's what seperates *random noises* from Music. I'm sick of those mindless shredders, often sweepers. for example: Dragonforce, I never understood why EVERY MOMENT OF THROUGH THE FIRE AND FLAMES WAS A SHRED SOLO.(along with a bunch of their other songs.) oh, but with words. cant make money if it doesnt sound like we tried. MUSIC IS NOT A RACE! or maybe it is.
comparing zeppelin to deep purple, deep purple to zeppelin... both great bands, and anyone who takes pride in their music will NEVER change their mind about who's the best. You might come to a compromise with a close friend, but not strangers on youtube!
Zepplin was let's say like an orgasam. Blackmore and Purple are like a mountain. Feels good climbing it and it will be there when ever you want to climb it for the thrill or get your inspiration from looking at it. Blackmore has a whole new gig now and it's very successful. What other famous" Rock " guitarists has changed their style that made them famous and are being successful ? Rock bands come and go. Talented musicians will remain relevant.
Blackmore copying Malmsteen...that comment just shows the wanker knows nothing about rock guitar. At his age of 62, Blackmore is still productive with his music. Different taste of course, but he still can pound and play as fast as ever if he wants to. On the contrary, Jimmy Page is now nothing but a fat diabetic slob with big puddy round face like a ripened pumpkin. The last album Page produced was just a total disaster.
Gladly, David Coverdale (former Purple member) took Page out of his non-existent solo career to record Coverdale/Page. Long live the best, and only active, classic Hard Rock band ever!!! Long live Deep Purple!!!
your opinion of Jimmy Page has absolutely nothing to do with Rainbow playing 'Difficult To Cure', so why bother, this shit fuckin pisses me right off!!
Purple invented Hard Rock and fathered Heavy Metal. Plant never came near Gillan's soaring vocals: Gillan sang, Plant moaned. Page was never as good as Blackmore (the video here is pretty evident about that). Zep lives of their past glories, while Purple members are still active musicians full of projects. Zep? Janis Joplin could've sang there without you even noticing it. Purple was way better live than Zep: MADE IN JAPAN, BEST live album ever.
Interesting to here Blackmore, Lord and Paice all credit Led Zeppelin as THE prime influence when Deep Purple decided to start playing hard rock during '69 before recording 'In Rock'. You can say what you like about Zep (as idiotic as it is) but no-one can ever take away the fact that they were the pioneers of hard rock/heavy metal. Just ask Ritchie himself. And he got Gillan in cos he was so impressed the first time he heard Plant, he needed someone who could "scream like he could".
did you forget about alex lifeson van halen zakk wylde. i can go on. i mean hes good one the best indeed. but there is guys just as good, its certainly not clapton
This is TOTALLY different than what Malmsteen did which was to write all original material strictly for an orchestra and play WITHOUT the band as a concerto soloist. Blackmoore and Roth were some of the firsts to work with an orchestra though, just in a different way.
I'd suggest having a look at Malmsteen's tribute album to see who's tracks he covers. Also, ever wonder why Malmsteen uses a scalloped fretboard? Finally, have a look where most of Malmsteen's band members played before they joined Malmsteen. Till then stick your Zeppelin studio albums.
Im not sure about the year...Joe Lynn Turner on vocals....so if I guessed i'd say 82/83???? There wasnt much info on this tape when I bought it. STEVE

Long live to the God!
