We were heading for south America (surinam) We were there for a month and then went to the Caribbean.

Heb op een trawler gevist, maar daar nooit aan kunnen wennen.

De eerste drie dagen was ik best ziek, daarna gaat het over

Heb je mazzel, want er zijn mensen die steeds weer zeeziek worden hoelang ze ook varen.

Ik bedoel ook de eerste drie dagen van een oversteek. Aangezien de meeste tochtjes met de zeilboot minder lang dan drie dagen duren kun je eigenlijk wel zeggen dat ik regelmatig zeeziek wordt. Met pillen is het overigens best uit te houden hoor.

Als je een jaar of 30 geleden de pech had om als jongeman met een zwakke maag afkomstig te zijn van Urk had je niet echt een prettig leven ! ''Het stampen is niet zo erg, maar dat slingeren'', zoals je zelf al zei.

Looking back, I would think that too. But with a crossing like that whe got a little lazy with changing the sails.

I think somewhere in the middle, between Cape Verde en Surinam. The boat is a Buchanan eastcoast 31 ft made of wood.
