I don't like to disrespect players, especially the "role" players but Churla would take liberties. If the other team didn't dress someone to keep him in line, look out. Everyone was fair game. Very dirty player. I really did not care for his style of hockey. I imagine what Antoski was doing here was genuinely sticking up for a smaller player. Though I have no way of knowing for sure. But, yeah, it's likely given what Churla would do on the ice. Gladly, I might add.

Oh yeah. He was the best. Truthfully, it's because of Churla that hockey is so big in Dallas. The first few years he was the major draw. I'll never forget him squirting Tie Domi in the face with a water bottle during a scrum in front of the bench :)

i think shane churla was one of the most agressive fighters in the history of the sport.. the only reason he got hit so much is because its not that he lacked defense he just lacked fear! there for he didnt care how much he got hit. hed take 3 hits to land 1...i love churla and i even named my first son after him...well atleast the name shane. but i was thinking about shane churla when i was thinking what too name him...churla was awesome!
