@GasSnake2003 dont think that could have ever happend the man that wrote the book tried to sue maiden over this song.this song was first called dune but they had to change the title name.the old cunt belived that people like maiden were scum and was discusted that they made a song from his work.

yeah, NOTB is a good song, and it was one of the first that I listend to 7 years ago, but then guitar hero got wrathchild(awesome song nonetheless) trooper, number of the beast and rockband got run to the hills... and now those songs make people think they are god of iron maiden music...... trooper is still one of my favs but I can't handle as much as I can prisoner, or transilvania, or from here to eternity...... I read a couple of the books of the Dune series. That's some powerful shit. According to Maiden, they wanted to name this song "Dune" but Frank Herbert, the book's author, refused to let them use the name because he hated heavy metal. They had to settle for "To Tame A Land" instead. I recommend everyone to pick up a copy of "Dune" by Frank Herbert.
