  • Man this is rich! So much creative energy....

Getting Rick Wakeman helped as well.

I need to revisit this album more often..!!!

  • just wanna say that i think sometimes a great group of individual musicians cohere into something special; unique. I definitely think this happened here! a sort of destiny kind of thing. right? these guys should know their art will continue on, beyond our time. Absolutely!!

  • Rushed home, opened it up,volume flank, bedroom took flight, caught mom listening at the stairs, late Feb. 72.Just a15 year old discovering an epic moment in music history.

  • Seems like it was released today.Happy 40th Fragile!!

  • It is such a joke that bands like Kansas, Jethro Tull for heaven's sake, Todd Rundgren and this -- YES -- were not at the top of the so called Rock n Roll Hall of Shame, is telling. It tells me idiots are making the decisions. Totally unpredictable and nonsensicle. But, that's music. I know Ian Anderson and Jon Anderson don't give a crap. Love live them each.

  • Saw them in The Round at the Spectrum in Philly, and at least three more times on a traditional stage setting in the 1970s and early 80s. Steve Howe has Gibson 175 guitars named after him -- Signature guitars -- and for a reason. Chris Squire and Steve are the only two original members still playing as Yes. They are not the band they once were but this is an incredible incredible band. Live was just a masterful experience of drama, early pre-MTV video experience of the highest order.

  • never a "yes"fan ,but what a great fuckin band !!!!!

  • Yes! "Fragile Is Marvelous!"

  • z UK są i będa ,póki co,najlepsze zespoły....Wyjątki potwierdzą regułę

  • Listening to this vinyl at home, so lovely. Look up what I'm listening to post on social sites. I cannot let the perfect music of the world go to waste on a girl; only inside. The youth of today need to know what excellent music sounds like. My 33 year old son said"Rock is Dead," Mom. It's never dead, unless it's the DEAD! (GRATEFUL)! Wiz K. and Yelawolf and Dre and Em and Snoop, and whomever are good; while this is perfect. It's rocking jamms of heaven. YES*FRAGILEDOPEMUSIICYESYA.

  • When i turned 18 , I went to a 3.2 beer bar , this song was playing and we were dancing on multi colored dance floor . Those were the good ole days .

  • una maravilla

  • My favourite album. Thanks for the upload :)

  • i'm no new age ninny but thank young satan that yes has non-neanderthal lyrics

  • true nuff...vicious-ass basswork.by young Cristobal

  • Youv'e missed the bit on the end...............

  • fragile and yessongs.....yum

  • South side of the sky, fucking wow ! pardon my french.

  • Yes Tormato Full Album please...

  • I used to play this album (vinyl) over and over and over again. Close to 40 years ago. Yikes!!! That almost makes me feel "old". Of course we all know that there is no such thing as "age" or "old". I am always young in my mind and that's all that counts. At least, that is my belief.

  • I found a vinyl copy of Fragile impishly askew in a thrift store bin. One of my favorite finds to this day.

  • Chris the best

  • Oh the bass in long distance run around is just awesome...

  • I also clicked this randomly lol, pretty sweet I most say

  • Chri squirell, one mile over will silhouette the atmosphere and will see you twenty four among the drifting clouds of the dancing sings of whethterland be cause of closer land need to your deeper fears I'll be the roundabout

  • Long Distance Runaround - baddest fucking bass line ever known to mankind.

  • YES!

  • Pure Heaven...

  • just what i was looking for

  • Cool!! Thanks

  • My college dazes listening to Yes. This album went from room to room. Great times with all my friends .

  • I still think this for me might be the finest moment for Yes,even though some other good ones followed.

  • have loved it 'YES'

  • Wow.

    Best prog album?

Well it it my new favorite

  • just wanna say, Thank you for having good musical Taste and to let us know

  • ...The Spouse Is A Fuckin' Lie Calling It A Hobby...

  • Lynch me, but for me this is better than Close to the Edge ^^

  • Could someone please put The Yes Album (I've seen all good People) on here. If I had the means...

  • @mranamtip You can search Yes Album Full here on youtube and you find it.

  • I need help with figuring out a particular "Yes' song that I do not know the name of. If anyone has seen the movie Apollo 18 then you'll remember an astronaut was listening to a Yes song on a little tape recorder he took with him on the flight and I had heard it before but I have no idea the name of it now. The first right response gets a hundred bucks. hurry up!

  • @chev202 starship trooper

  • Steve Howe is a genius on guitar, I might add to that.

  • The opening 15 seconds or so to "Long Distance Runaround" would make even Chuck Norris Orgasm.

  • This is amazing !

  • Tank you so much for sharing it remind me my young time, i'm 59 now and i lived this era with great pleasure and a lot of great groups Jacques from Montreal In Canada

  • definately the sickest album by Yes!

  • @mdelair420. Geddy is a master, no doubt. Singing, playing keyboard chords by foot and playing bass at the same time. Now, I believe Neal Peart is the greatest living rock drummer. It is all about taste though. To a point, at least. Yes, happy 2012!

  • @lbbs4cowboys1 Thanks, happy 2012 to you. Sorry, but I don´t agree with you. You said it is all about taste. Search here on youtube for Barriemore Barlow, if you don´t know he is the drummer of Jethro Tull. I hate compare two great musicians. I think Barriemore Barlow and Neil Pearl are both great.

  • This album changed my life and entire perspective.

Thanks be to Jon, Chris, Steve, Bill and Rick!!

  • I love all the yes albums great stuff..

  • EXCELLENT POSTING OF A FULL ALBUM. Bravo to the responsible party. Wore this cassette tape down to a friggin thread........ Lovin 40 + minutes without having to click... TY...

  • ...Pterri was here...

  • Attended the first Union show in the round in Pensacola FL while in the Air Force, they sent us some tickets. I've seen Rush, Ozzy, U2, Aerosmith, Queensryche, Alice in Chains, Megadeth, Metallica and many more. Mr Squire was the best bassist imho. What a concert with everyone there. Great album as well.

  • @lbbs4cowboys1 I absolutely agree about Chris Squire...... Mainly on Close to the Edge.

  • @lbbs4cowboys1 I have seen all those bands to,,Geddy is the best for me..Personal choice comes into place..Not a fight just peaceful coversing..I love yes.Peace and have a good 2012???!?!?!?????Hmmmm..Lol

  • When this came out I owned 2 albums, both Glen Campbell :) . My brother gave me this album for my birthday. He is no longer with us, but I still have the album. thanks Bobby. BTW, I did not hear the "do look around" montage with the footsteps running way at the end of the album. Headphones are a must. Still one of my favorite albums. First one I played for my kids.... I did not play the Glen Campbell for them ;)

  • I never heard a song by Yes before. I clicked on this randomly cuz it was a related video to Led Zeppelin's 1st album. I gotta say, the bass guitar on this first song is pretty legit.

  • @jjkmovies amazing wha you tube can do eh?? ;)

  • @jjkmovies Chris Squire is one of the best pick bassists. Right up there with Paul McCartney and JPJ (sometimes).

  • @jjkmovies You said it brother, its hard to find a cleaner arrangement. But listen on a good system, they deserve that!

  • @jjkmovies You are in for an absolute treat. I discovered Yes way back in high school some 30+ years ago and their music was considered "old" back then. Their music is genius, and was way ahead of their time when they hit the music scene in the late 1960s. They were the first to really incorporate the (new back then) synthesizer sounds, and their use of frequent key change and time signature changes was also something they essentially pioneered in rock music. Enjoy!

  • @jjkmovies Chris Squire is the man.

  • @jjkmovies That's Chris Squire.

Playing a Rickenbacker. Great bass player.

Major influence in my early years of playing.

  • South side of the Sky....emotionally moving....love that song.

  • will now create prog rock playlists for me friends....Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson, just to name a few...

  • Just added this to one of my play lists...fucking brilliant...not played the original album...up in the loft..... since my days at Reigate Sixth Form..everything is such shit now!

  • I think I just had an eargasm.

  • Roundabout was the first song I heard from Yes !... I was only 15 in 1974... Woooooww ! What a beggining ! ! !

  • Used to listen to this LP with my good friend Ralph Leone all the time!

  • Thank goodnes bands like Yes existed and co-existed with humankind. Hail Yes !

  • thx....

  • The Planet and all it contains is fragile, but We always Have Heaven. He is here, he is Now...Jon puts so much meaning into so few words. The amazing blend of highly talented musicians with a nearly non-musician (in comparison)...shows no man is an island...stop me before I'm taken to another of the multiple universes....headphones to break it all down in Tales a must.

  • I wore out all my albums in the 70's yessungs twice- summer 84 saw them at irvine meadows in california when i was stationed in el toro

  • @rjbrandimarte el toro was a place I lived in a plastic lined bush outside the gates of the man. marine that is violate you if you dont agree....WHEEE ...I thank all the vetrans your higher ups???

  • I wore out all my albums in the 70's yessungs twice

  • One of the best albums of all time. I got into Yes about over a year ago, and haven't turned back since. LONG LIVE PROG!

  • Fragile and Close to the Edge are the best albums from Yes, by far! Wakeman is absolutely sick in this album, from the organ solo in the final part of Roundabout, to the piano parts in the middle of South Side of the Sky that absolutely give you chills. Howe's guitar on Mood for a Day is fantastic, and the band knocks it home with force for Heart of the Sunrise. Love, love, love this album!

  • @jwfergie24 Agreed.

  • oh so that's why people g00:00n about Chris Squire

  • I've always been a fisherman and always like their song called The Fish. Until now though I finally looked up the genus-species name in Wikipedia. This fish is among the smallest full grown of animals with a complete skeleton at 8mm. Um Yes Fragile.

  • Love the bass line on 'Roundabout'

  • The ONLY Yes album I can listen to. But WHAT an album!!!!! When I first saw the sleeve so many years ago I was sure this had to be good. I even bought an original copy on vinyl again.

  • Man the opening song is amazing, finally seriously listening to it is truely amazing. I can't wait until I can play the replay button

My dad once said that Keith Emerson was a WAY better keyboard player than This guy (whats his name?), but the guitar part at 6:40 says otherwise. To be fair, they are both amazing, and I love both their work, and HATE comparing artists.

  • @glaxko2: Jeez, that's funny! I'm 52. When I was 16, that was an ongoing debate between all us nerdy prog-heads: Who's better, Keith Emerson or Rick Wakeman? It didn't matter anyway, because we were way out of step. EVERYBODY who was ANYBODY was listening to Donna Summer and the Bee Gees!

Anyway, the answer to that unresolved question turned out to be... Tony Banks!

Kidding. All three of them are geniuses. Tell your dad that "Who's better?" arguments are pointless at that level of excellence.

  • @JMarchOHare elp.still legit.

  • @JMarchOHare Emersan and Wakeman are totally different keyboard players.

My main instrument its the bass and then I play keys and guitar but started on drums and then got into mandolin and computers and composition etc.

The argument of who is better and not is a futile argument because there is no real better one when it comes to style (when it comes to the greats).

You could argue this when it comes to the greats compares to the amateurs though. lol

  • @TerryGissing1: I believe I said that.

  • @JMarchOHare nice

  • @glaxko2 His name is Rick Wakeman and I HATE comparing artists too. Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson are both great.

  • With all due respect to Alan White, Bill Bruford is for me *THE* definitive Yes drummer. The sublime exchange with Chris Squire @2:00, @2:53 and @5:51 providing a rhythmic foundation for Rick and Steve to shine.

  • @jjvannorman I agree with you..Bill Bruford to me is an original Yes member not Alan White..And like you say

    my respects for Alan White.

    Best wishes.

  • Lettuce all enjoy

  • MTV INTERVENTION DAD @ Christa & Martha: Denis George Mahan

MTV INTERVENTION MOM @ Christa & Martha: Jessica Gladis Fischer

  • wow that's backwards

  • Brings back some memories,,,,some good some bad,,,,,most good

  • love the vocals

  • static bunny.. i love you for putting this up.

  • Il y a l'album Close to the edge. Il y a l'album Fragile. Et il y a les autres... Remarquable. Merci StaticBunnyStudios.

  • Amen to that. Thanks for uploading this masterpiece album.

  • A Prog-Rock band that got my attention sometime last century...Awesome...

  • Could you post some Rush. Starting with "Moving Pictures" or anything by them. Oh and can you make them available for iPhone

Is that to much to ask. Thanks!

  • Somehow i always go back to Fragile as my favorite Yes album, even though i love Close to the Edge tremendously ? Roundabout has always been my fave song to air Bass to (and a sing along, and even some air Keyboards) and the rest of the album just gets better. If you were lucky , you got the version that had a 4 or 5 page booklet w pictures of the band and some more cool artwork. Thanks SBS for your dedication to keeping the flame burning.

  • thank you so much!!!

  • you have wonderful taste in music!

also, i hate to be "that guy", but it's progressive rock at *its* finest. Remember, "it's" is a contraction of "it is", and "its" is the possessive form of "it".

  • @drwatsenburg Progessive rock at it is finest. lol

  • @drwatsenburg Thanks for fixing it static bunny, probably just a typo anyway. Once again, great album!

  • Thank you for this and everything else in your repertoire.

  • Awesome, 'possum! I remember listening to this album when it was released and liking it very much but not being able to say why. Some 4 decades later with a better(?) vocabulary (and a head clear of "recreational pharmaceuticals", thank you, Jesus!) I can now say it's the intricate melodies and harmonies being played and sung by some damn fine, talented musicians with solid backgrounds in classical music. StaticBunnyStudios, I commend you on your taste and perception. Keep up the good work!

  • Yes!

  • nice ;)

  • It would be awesome if you could upload some albums from Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr. I don't know if you have albums from them but if you do please upload!

  • Another great addition!

    Thanks StaticBunnyStudios...AGAIN!!!

P.S.Could you hook it up with MORE FLOYD PLEASE!!! You're the best!

  • Dance Mom 618423-9261142

  • Thanks for listening to me :D :D :D :D

  • First :D
