He passed everything except the "t" in Winters. Most North Americans don't pronounce the "t" in many words and when they do it sounds more like a "d".
Example: "Winters" = Winners with a weird hook on the "n" showing that a "t" should be there. With the "d" sound: Water sounds more like Wodder.
