no, ethnically I'm not Russian, I'm Armenian. I just witnessed many Russian-Ukrainian disputes over what was what. So I just started digging deeper. To me it explains why in Russians call themselves "russkiy" which sounds not like ethnical group but as member of something. Well Ukraine was first mentioned around 1100, but "Ukrainians" were mentioned much earlier. It mgiht be of interest, the logo of Rus' was a Tryzub; it was on sheilds, $, etc. And the Tryzub is the logo of modern Ukraine too. Once Moscovia stole "Rus" from us though, we began gradually changing to Ukraine (first to Hetmanshchyna, then to Ukrajina..).
