  • I LOVED playing this song on french horn. makes me SO PROUD that im a french horn. ^.^

  • what key is this in...??

  • Lovely - I'd love to play under this conductor - so clear.

Great playing in the group too.

  • does any one know if you can get this as a solo piece? for either sop or Eb horn? :D

  • This is really beautifull I really love it and my complements to all how play in the tennessee Brass. It must be a pleasure to hear for all irish. I used the play in a small movie i made about the American Military Cemetery in Holland where are more then 8000 killed soldiers burried.

    greetings Michiel

  • very well done!!

    :-)

hehe... french horns are my favorite on this piece... and i'm a percussionist

  • awesome stuff

  • Beautifully played!!!

  • Dubravska, Euphonium is ALWAYS cool! Show some pride :-)

  • all i have to say is wow...Thanks for posting this video...

  • that is some smooth conducting, and of course the ensemble as well is fantastic

  • Seems like the sound feed and the video aren't in time with eachother.

  • I played this with the Southern Miss. Wind Ens. as an exhibition at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin in March 1995. We were supposed to be ushering the crowd out, but they stood still like statues until the last note faded away, then they erupted into applause the likes of which I'd never heard.

    That's something I'll NEVER forget.

  • beautiful. goosebumps allover. and the high energy brass moment was awesome, just what a real brass ensemble should sound like.

  • My high school is playing this as a percussion ensemble. My director arranged it for us.. Its beautiful

  • This is probably one of the only songs that makes me feel cool playing the Euphonium.

  • john philip sousa should do that for you too lol

  • @Dubravska Euphonium is no doubt one of my favorite instruments to listen to ANY TIME! Don't sell yourself short!

  • @Dubravska What about Holst's Second Suite in F. The first movement.

  • we just played this our brass choir, and it was excellent. I love Grainger so much...

  • Lead trumpet really needs to cool it

is this laggy or does he conduct in front of the beat

  • You must be lagging. I conduct in time.

  • I can personally back that last comment by bssnboo...I have been in a band under the conductor and timing was not an issue, but apparently simple counting and keeping time may be for the likes of people like Rabble 2...hello Mr. Parnther, this is Chase...

  • wow what a sweet band, and also an awesome lead trumpet player.

  • do you have some kind of personal vendetta against that trumpet player or something?

  • The ensemble plays with such outstanding sensitivity and has phenomenal balance.

  • Balance? Hahaha, you must be a trumpet player.

  • hard to believe this is a level five ensemble in FBA (florida bandmasters association)

  • This was filmed in my auditorium and I know this conductor. If you (SpartanTrumpet) think you know more than this guy about music, I have to tell you your are extremly wrong...not even close to his caliber...Tenor Sax in the Tennessee BRASS...ok there pal

  • Tenor sax and Trumpet are leading way to much. This is mainly a French Horn Euphonium piece. I think that took away alot of the beauty in this song. Good playing though.

  • There are no saxophones in this BRASS Ensemble.

    Perhaps your ear needs readjustment.

  • @bssnboo Hahahahahaha, I thought this was played marvelously well, great job on your part (I am assuming you're the director) and the Brass Ensemble played extremely well! I absolutely loved this, Grainger would be proud.

  • @supernole100 Thanks a lot! We had a blast putting this together!!!

  • Tenor Sax? Seriously? You're a fucking idiot! The fact that your mother chose NOT to abort you as a fetus makes this world a dumber place. Just kidding, but seriously....there's no sax. =)

  • i don't hear no fucking tenor sax you woodwind loving assbag. what the fuck was the 'tenor sax' leading anyway? do your race a favor and remove yourself from the genepool

  • Bahahaha "woodwind loving assbag" that really made me laugh. Thank you.

  • tenor sax in a brass ensemble.

    wow your a retard

  • I beg to differ. Don't you see the tenor sax hiding behind the curtain? =D

One of the tuba players also has a tenor sax inside his tuba

    OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!

  • lol, I forgot about the tenor sax hiding in the tuba bell, good point there...

  • Our Chamber group plays this

  • Nice balance!

  • Very nice :) We played this in junior high school. Nice control, and great vibrato.

  • grianger was a gorgeous over sentimental mad genius, ahh i wish he was spanking my bum now... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Wow, not bad. But this arrangement would've be better if it was in the key of F, just like the original Grainger composition.

There is another arrangement of this piece, but written for a Brass Band (English-Style).

  • i really wish i had not turned down the opportunity to play with them

  • These guys are freaking good. I love this song and they did it very masterfully. Awesome overall ensemble tone and pulse. Very beautiful.
