is probably because he dident set the quality high enough in hes edit program. he could make this video HD if he wanted and still have a extreme good quality :) thats some thing you need to do in the setings on the edit program. do u know the name of the song on this video?

The vx2100 isn't 1080i. If you try to upload a high quality video in HD, it would look even shitier than this. The vx2100 doesn't shoot in widescreen, and he obviously tried to stretch the video to make it fit the full screen for youtube, but stretching ruins quality. And Youtube's uploader ruins the quality of a video even more, so that's why he's having quality issues.

Its because in his editing program he tried to stretch the video to make it full screen. The vx shoots in a kind of square type of deal, while others (such as my fx7) shoot widescreen, so no stretching is needed. Another factor is Youtube itself. Youtube's uploader horrifically ruins a video's quality. With pro videos, you are getting the straight footage that isn't ruined because of an uploader. They film, edit than publish their work.

well the sony dcr series are perfect because of all the manual settings they provide... the gl1 and gl2 have some, but not all like the vx series do... and the mk1 is tons wider than the mk2... the only drawback is the vignetting (rings in the corners) but personally, i like that...

They aren't superior to a vx2100 it is just a preference. A lot of it just depends on how you like to film and how you like the quality. Like a vx1k has better sound quality, no lcd screen and more realistic day colors while a vx2100 has better vignetting, has an lcd screen and gives daytime colors a more golden tint usually

But like I said it is just a preference to the filmer and skater... the vx1k is more popular but I know plenty of amazing filmers that use vx2100s

1500 used... and i would go right to the 2100... the 2100 has the best low light capabilities along with a zoom rocker and recording button right on the top handle for better ease of use... if thats not a big deal for you, go for the 2000, but the 2100 in my opinion is a better choice cuz if comething happens to it, there is a greater chance of finding a part for it since its newer

yeah the 2000 is better for night skating and the 1000 is really good for daytime so the 2100 is kinda in the middle

yeah it gets you clean footage, its easy to use for skating cuz of the handle on the top and the record button and zoom rocker built in the handle also, and the manual focus and zoom rings... i got it for &1,525 with a hard case and some lenses off of ebay... so id go there unless you have the 3 grand for a brand new one
